Buscamos personas nuevas para proliferar el combate con armas de este tipo. Buscamos popularizar este deporte y nos permite mantener nuestras habilidades activas. Yo vengo de Kung fu y mis estudiantes de Jiujitsu también. ¿Estas en físicamente en RD?

      I am a retired Kung fu practitioner was assigned the bo staff as a part of my style. I ported the fundamentals I was given with that weapon on to this one and there you go. Though I was not able to use my training in combat back then with this weapon I have had the opportunity to use it with my partner in sparring matches quite frequently, and now I am very comfortable with it. I also agree with your assessment this weapon is awesome and very fun to use is a match. I you are ever in the DR maybe you should DM me, and we could set something up for practice.

    A swordspear is basically just a spear with a guard. Which is what a spear misses.

      Good call but not quite. I think more like an arming sword with and extended handle. And yes the cross guard is a HUGE difference: If you ask me it's the whole point of the weapon. Could not live without it.

    0:33 crossing your feet as you circle your opponent is not a good idea. If your opponent is skilled, they will attack the moment your feet are crossed. There are some systems which cross the feet when stepping off line, but only during an attack. If you aren't presenting a threat, your opponent can capitalize on it easily.
