Welcome to a day in the Life With Dice. I have recently started to mod my 2014 Lexus IS 250 F Sport and wanted to take you guys on the journey with me. It will be a lot of learning curves but we will have fun in the process. I was a cast member many years ago on a reality TV show and was very shy and private about opening my life up to others. APEXi Smart Accel Controller for 2014 Lexus IS 250
Today I installed an APEXi Smart Accel Throttle Controller by APEXi USA. This helps gives quicker response time to the throttle. Factory throttle response time is delayed, but this is improved from the plug and play harness offered by APEXi. Install was a little bite difficult due to the small working space by the gas pedal. How to prevent carbon build up on a 2014 Lexus IS 250 F-Sport

Today I installed an Air/Oil Separator by RR-Racing. This helps with reducing carbon build up in the engine. The IS250 does not have port injectors and gets a lot of oil in its PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) line. The RR-Racing Air/Oil Separator is fully sealed and zero maintenance. when you finished installing the intake there was a shaking sound, is that normal for the first time, or did you have to do something.
Hey. No I did not have any shaking noise. The fit was perfect and sat well in the engine.

Hey the BOTTOM portion of the ORIGINAL intake where the cutout to the BRACKET. Did u ever add something there to COVER the gap? Im doing a video on this install BASED off yours. Good job.

The red is fresh as life on that Lexus. About to add that same red intake on my red I S250 convertible. I ended up doing a muffler delete left the cats and resonator and just straight piped it to the back with new tips and it sounds awesome
I had been wanting to do this to my car since I see this guy with a Acura TSX wagon engine bay done what's a different color and a design on it. Yours look nice I like your car and your video content was nice

Yes. This works very well on my car. I love it. It has been installed on my car for a year now and I have had zero problems with it.

I bought one for my is250 and it worked fine until it started blinking in white light and it no longer let me set modes, does anyone know why, thanks
I have not had this happen to me 🙏. Maybe you can call the manufacturer or the company you purchased the Smart Accel from.

Great video!! I have Lexus IS 250 2014 I wanna get the apexi but they ask for harness type and I don’t know which one is the correct can you help me
I had the same problem so I called APEXI to make sure I ordered the correct harness. The rep was very helpful. Just call whatever company you decide to order from and they can point you in the right direction.
Is it worth it? I got my car tuned and want a better throttle response but I’m skeptical

Super dope
If anyone does to do this themselves, do not spray like she did in the video. Instead, use several thin coats. If you spray one thick coat instead of several thin ones, it will have orange peel and it will not look good. There’s videos on TH-cam that show how to spray properly. Otherwise, good video!
First, clean and decrease your components before wet sanding or spraying or decreasing. Next, remove all the dust and grit by air pressure ot tack rag on all Coats. Next, its not best practice too stand over parts laidd horizontally on the ground. Raise them up on a table or bench in a manner thee you will hold the spray can from 45° to near vertical. Them definitely spray multiple thin coats compared to one heavy one! (The directions are on the back of the can )
Nice job 👍. Next time put the paint cans in warm water to thin out the paint it apply alot better. Nothing is better than doing it yourself 👍😁.
So does this work inline with the sport/eco mode button switch or a separate toggle? Should it be used with it? I want to install one just wondering how it works with the sport/eco button. Cool videos keep posting!
