360 in the FJ Cruiser #1 - Waterloo County Park
I took short drive in my Toyota FJ Cruiser on a cold & damp winter morning from Lebanon, Oregon, to Waterloo County Park. I held a selfie stick out of the windows, just to get the feel of it, in preparation for a group adventure up in the mountains in a few days (stay tuned!). This is my very first published 360 FJ Cruiser Video, and your feedback & suggestions are welcome!

Thanks for sharing this info. Can you elaborate on the waypoints discussion? What waypoints did you turn off? Were they the waypoints you selected when creating the route or does the program add additional waypoints along the route?
Hi Rich - the waypoints that are included in the Google Maps file are just the beginning and ending points, but since all I am interested in is the track itself, I exclude them in the gpsvisualizer file. Does that answer your question?

I just did this swap out last night & yes.. very difficult to get back up inside the tank.. I twisted it as much as possible, made sure the screw holes were lined up & tapped it up with a piece of kindling & a small hammer, going around in a circle very gently.. next time I'll use a smidgen of grease, good idea Just checking around to see if anyone else went through what I did on the re- install My OEM pump lasted 40,000 kms before it crapped out, so I suspect I was lucky to get 4-1/2 yrs out of the stock pump
Any truth to the rumor that Camel Tanks are hard on fuel pumps, i.e. the pump isn't really designed to pull fuel up through 5ft of line?
I firmly believe that is what happened to my Quantum pump after only 1500 miles. If I keep the Camel Tank, I will either install an external pump on a switch to transfer fuel from the Camel Tank into the main tank, or just resort back to the gravity-feed setup like I did on my 990 (it worked fine!), and my 1090 before I got distracted by the official installation video. I emailed Camel Tank almost two months ago asking if we could talk things over, and never heard back. 😞
Okay.. this is interesting 🤔 I actually live fairly close to where these are made & have been considering the Camel I'm going to stick with a rotopax after reading this.. Thanks 👍

@@paultannahill5043 hey Paul - in theory, that makes sense ... but how does it work, given the position of the tank and how the hose is routed? I'm not using mine much, so it's more like I've installed a really big tank vent for the most part 😆
@@mikehuffman8208It won't work as well in the short term as the vacuum feed, which really makes both tanks act as one, but a gravity won't stress the fuel pump. There is only a tiny bit of drop from the Camel Tank outlet down to the connector line between the main tank lobes, so my experience from when I originally used the gravity feed was that I was I never got the full benefit of the Camel Tank contents. Another solution I am considering is installing a secondary external fuel pump immediately outside of the Camel Tank outlet, feeding into a gravity system. I've got to decide whether that might be worth the time and expense, though.
Hi Paul. I am a Brit in Mexico. Did you ever sort out the F1 orange flashing light on your 2010 990 3 years back? I have the same issue with my 2010 990R and just cannot sort it. Not even with the KTM garage in Queretaro. Any idea? Thank you.
Hi there! Yes, it turned out to be an electrical short caused by improper installation of an upper crashbar crossmember by the previous owner. They had failed to protect some wiring leading to the ECU, and the wire insulation eventually wore through and shorted out against the crossmember, and killed the ECU. 😞I miss that bike!
