Sunbeam 20-30 Radiant control toaster
I bought this American model Sunbeam online many years ago and have never used it. Thinking it a thing of beauty and not wanting to get it marked.
Being in England I had to see it if works and bought a transformer to bring our 230 volts down to 110 volts.
The toaster performs as I’d hoped. Not withstanding the tumble dryer noise in the background the toaster does end making a noise of its own near the end of the roasting cycle. I’ve heard some other Sunbeam toasters make the same noise and would be interested to have any feedback below on why it does this. Enjoy!

A home made movie of photos taken over the past years from purchase of my wagon in 2007 to road trips across the U.S.A in the past years. The soundtrack is one of the Oldsmobile advertising jingles of the period 1984 to 1986.

My 1988 Oldsmobile at a GM dealer for a service. Being reversed by a mechanic. I'm wondering if he knows how to release the foot brake... Sorry the clip is so short.

This one is really loaded with equipment. Beautiful car. Here in Wisconsin it would have been a rusty hulk in 5-6 years.
I used to work at a GM dealership in the parts department. That tailgate had about 8000 parts in it…literally! I always felt sorry for the mechanic who had to service that tailgate - minimum flat rate ~8 hours
The Buick Estate Wagons were the best wagons. Very luxurious, plush, big payload, smooth ride, & great towing capacity with the Awesome 455-4 torque monster engine & turbo 400 trans!!! Very practical vehicle!!!
The Buick Estate Wagon was the best of th best in Station Wagons. Luxurious, plush, very big payload, best ride,Awesome reliable 455 torque monster engine & bulletproof Turbo 400 trans. BRING THEM BACK,BUICK!!!
These a 100 times better than all the SUVs & trash of today. Plus, they do not beat the crap out of you when diving on a short or long trip.
100% for sure.
That is 1 badass classic grocery getter!
My father had the Chevrolet version of this, in green.
I bet people carried more stuff in the back of that wagon than millions of drivers do in the bed of those luxurious 4x4 city pickups
10 mpg but I would drive it. It's so campy.
Americans used to make the most beautiful and cool cars. Then they stopped.
Fire
Got to fix that tailgate track. At the end of the video I heard that cracking sound. They all made that horrible sound but if you worked on the track you can fix it and it will be as quiet as a church mouse.

We had one as a kid. Great car and absolute tank. Drove it to college one day and hit a very large pig. It didn’t make a dent. Also great driving through large snow drifts in winter.
👌👌👍👍✌️
I always preferred the 1973 model.
Is that the clamshell
Seems like the space the tailgate takes up would be better used for maybe a spare tire.
There's a compartment on the right side of the wagon for the spare tire. it's between the right rear tire and the taillight.
Beautiful very good machine and useful ❤❤❤❤❤ but need to be perfect type hardtop sedan and a/c color in back in roof and refrigerator like toyota crown 👑 1985 in back back seats also lights yellow aerial in back infrontof made iron not blastic ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I had the Pontiac version. A fantastic vehicle.
I had the 1970 version of this, but we didn’t have that door.
Model year 1970 was the first year for the Estate Wagon, it was based on the smaller LeSabre and came without the clamshell tailgate. 1971 -1976 was based on the Electra and came with the clamshell tailgate.
Stunning. Real American DNA.
Amazing. What a beautiful car.
I had a 1975 Buick Estate Wagon in college, from 1982 until the engine blew up in 1985. Mine was even red with the "wood" trim! What a trip back in time to see this video - I'd forgotten how "red" the interior was! I just wish you'd popped the hood.
I grew up in the 1970s...I never saw this before with that back tail door...crazy
When I started driving in 1979 my mom and dad handed me down the 1970 Buick Estate Wagon. What a car that was I would love to have it again. Loaded with an 8-track player under the glove compartment and the 455 4-barrel V-8 engine.
Can you still get a 3rd row rear facing seat with this clamshell rear window and tailgate?
You could order the optional forward facing 3rd seat for the 9 passenger wagons. Here's an image from the 1974 Buick brochure: i.ibb.co/r3WJgBC/74-EW.jpg
@@badboattail Thank you for the image from the brochure! If the 3rd row seat is forward facing do you enter it through the tailgate? We went to Florida in 1973 and rented a Chevy station wagon with 3rd row seat. I remember sitting back there, but I don’t remember what direction it faced. I guess it had to face forward like the Buick. I was only 6 years old at the time.
@@CH67guy1 You could reach the 3rd seat by folding down the righthand side seat of the second row. Maybe your family rented a mid-size Chevrolet wagon? Those had the rear facing 3rd seat with the step in the rear bumper and the regular tailgate. From the 1972 Chevrolet Wagons brochure: i.ibb.co/k3myRQz/1972-Wagon.jpg
That’s so cool.
5 gallons per mile, I’ll bet.
Nice wagon, I'm impartial to her chevy siblings but she's sweet as well
incroyable
Beautiful Color combination. GM, was the best, what happened?
Would love to hear that V8 under the hood /bonnet - no view.
sharp ......
I could live in that. Thanks for the video!
I had one . I loved it . The power was insane . It rotted a way . Could not save it .
Surprised GM didn’t do something similar with the square body Suburban, even if it was offered with roll down window tailgates.
If you are ever looking to sell just reach out to me because I absolutely love these cars!! I have been in search of a 73 or 74 Buick Estate Wagon for a long time now... Probably since my parents let my sister in law drive ours in 1996 and she destroyed it. I want my dream car back!!
now *THAT* is a STATION WAGON
He broke it when It closed. Body molding doesn't line up now like it did before he opened it..lol
Do you still own this car?
stunning wagon! .. the wheel covers are very nice but the traditional chrome Buick rallye wheels would also look beautiful - this wagon appears to be fully loaded with every visible option available including cornering lamps and chrome front fender mounted lamp monitors. This was one of my favorite years for Buick styling - the grille and headlight design particularly

0:33 nice touch to have the Christopher Cross 8-track inserted into the fold-away radio dial. We had a '71. I am the youngest in the family, so I always had to ride in the "way-back". We had the lower end model with crank windows and no fold-up rear seat. I used to slip and slide back there way before you had to strap in your kids. But the way-back had advantages that I could trash talk my brothers or my sister and could still be far enough away from my father's reach back to slap us if we got out of line.
oops, you broke it.
Beautiful.
I see art in every corner - this wagon got a lot to tills , i’ll love watching more , to me like a nice movie without a ticket line, Q: does the tail gait come with any dirty things when opening and closing , or does they covered ?
If this donet vintage's car contact me,save the vintage's car please
When bigger cars are built Buick will build them!! Loved the interior shots including the often ignored third seat, the crown jewel of wagon flexibility and fun. The front split bench is also a hallmark of thoughtful engineering. Thanks.
