Java service need to store data in database. So you have to host your Java service in a server that r cloud like aws. The online server will have MySQL database usually. So you can use it. If aws then you can use RDS to create your database. Hope you got the answer

Do you do any tasks related to Java in support project like fixing bug or anything? If not, you are fresher to both Java and node.js. In that case better choose Java, because companies mostly expect node.js developer to know front end technologies but that is not in the case for Java. But in both case you have to consider yourself as fresher to coding

Don’t think about jumping to other company in 1 year. Stay there for at least 2 years to know something about it. Then your demand grows and if your demand grows no need to worry about salary
