Perhaps TfL could get more Class 710s to run 8-Car on the Weaver Line. Including using 8-Car at peak times.

the last time i was on a class 170 it was scotrail sailtire and it was going up to inverness from glasgow queen street thenn it got cancelled at kingussie because someone got struck by a train and it went back the way to edinburgh

The noise and vibration from the big underfloor Diesel engines is incessant during the two-hour journey from London to Sheffield, proving that high-powered DMU's are completely unsuitable for long-distance, inter-city journeys! Bring back the lovely HST's!

I wonder if the Class 222 Meridians could perhaps go to ScotRail as ScotRail doesn’t want the Class 43 Inter7City HSTs anymore.

I wouldn't describe it as one of the most luxurious trains in the world! You have seen the Orient Express and the Eastern & Orient Express amongst others right?! This is just old GWR first class carriages by the look of it before they got rid of them for the ICE trains.

If you were wondering the unit is 220016. Only way I know is that the name badge/vinyl "voyager 20" was only applied to unit 222016 to celebrate the 20 years of service the voyagers was in service back in 2021.

I should definitely try doing Cross-Country's new route from Cardiff central to Edinburgh service at some point, as now you could travel on an 220/221 into Wales, which I don't think happens that often if ever before the new service. Tho I could be wrong about that.
