Interesting. Not original at all, but entertaining. The wife did seem like a spoiled brat/narcissist who needed to have her way to the point she kills her own husband. Albeit I don’t think she meant to kill him you never hit someone over the head with a bottle. Good pacing on the story btw.

Team Logan. I really like Logan despite his immorality in A Year in the Life. Jess and Rory would have never made it because Rory was inherently too spoiled. Jess became too mature for her. He deserved a stable, good woman. Jess is a hero the way he overcame his odds.

4:21 Unfortunately, Mitchum was right, Rory never fulfilled her calling as a journalist after college. It's like she never became an adult in the work world. I think it was because she was too spoiled. The story that she didn't make it is really not believable to me though. After all her accomplishments,it is strange she didn't make it.

I just love the idea of all the characters on tiktok... Lorelai would do tons of different content, mom hacks, storytimes, get ready with me's. I can see her being an influencer but not one who does sponsorships/is certified because she has the inn. Lorelai would run an account for Luke's diner that mostly consists of Luke ranting or yelling at Taylor Rory would do only booktok stuff, but not the ordinary type. I imagine she would be on the super literary side that's kind of judgemental of people who don't read classics or make fun of people for not liking them. Lane would never show her face but she would do music recommendations and have a link in her bio that leads to her spotify that has a playlist for EVERY scenario Sookie would do cooking videos and collab with Jackson, who does gardening hacks Paris could do study tips Madeline and Louise would do make up and outfit of the day videos Dean would be one of those car guys that kind of just show off their vehicle but barely shows him actually working on it Jess would do book and movie reviews And Logan would do goofy pranks and post about his parties And i love this video! I love the idea of Emily ranting about no homecooked meals while probably never making a meal herself in ages! This was great!

I wish she had said yes. I think they both would have been happier together and Mitchum was right she needed to improve on her journalism skills. I felt like the proposal was rushed it broke my heart. I think Logan would have had his start up in Sf and Rory could have had an entry level job at the chronicle. He was the boyfriend she talked the most about journalism with. Logan loved Rory they were together for 3 years in the original series. I am a big Rory/Logan fan. You do give a good analysis

While I understand that for whatever reason she may not have felt ready to get married when Logan proposed, finding out in the revival that 9 years later, she is now his mistress is infuriating. She could have potentially been properly married to him for 9 years, instead of being a mistress and helping him to cheat on his fiancé.

Originally, I was glad Rory said no. They wanted different things, she was off to start her career. Then came the revival and made it a moot point, as Rory and Logan are comfortably having an affair while he's engaged and she has a boyfriend she keeps forgetting to break up with

I know that Rory has a half-sister Gigi. However, instead of 18 years apart, I wonder what it would look like if Gigi was maybe only a couple years younger than Rory. What could that dynamic look like? Would they be able to become close or would they be distant?

Mitchum was right rory didn't have what it took to be a journalist she could had proved him wrong but she didn't rory gave up and dropped out of school

What I liked about Logan is that he would call Rory out when she was acting like a privileged, trust-fund baby and didn't think she was 😂 Her meeting the Huntzbergers was a rude awakening to the real world

I was really disappointed of this episode. I thought that she would be angry at him, and seeking jobs from every other paper and then MAYBE, with no results, think that may be he was right..

Rory could've taken that feedback and proved him wrong, but she didn't. She went and did something incredibly stupid then wallowed. I agree with you on having better feedback, and that overtime people can improve, especially since she was all of 20(?) here. It seems like more of an excuse to give up than keep moving forward.

Day in the life showed Mitchum was indeed right. She did not make it in journalism 😂 for all we know Mitchum meant well but was blunt.

This move from Logan is a pure expression of love. He was so in love that he was willing to change and come into conflict with his family. How could Rory refuse, when she said she loved him. When the series ended, I would like to believe that she came back and they were happy together.

this frustrated me when I first watched it, I was shocked that Rory left school and stole the yacht. I was so sure that she'd work harder to achieve her goal and not give up, because I am stubborn, I would do the same (after crying obv and having a meltdown lol) I would ask what can I do to help achieve my goal

I think when it comes to happiness she should have said yes because the end of the movie she was very unhappy without him

I felt a little bit sorry for Rory here. She’s been put on a pedestal her entire life and this came as a shock to the system. It’s not easy to have your entire self image challenged for the first time. Especially in such a blunt and unconstructive way.

I feel like throughout the show, there was a theme of whether Rory would be like Lorelai, the career woman who chases her dreams, or like Emily, a traditional home maker who lives for her husband. And I feel like the proposal was the key point for her to decide who she would be, and she chose to bw like her mom

Also, Lorelai literally left her job whenever she wanted to and stayed gone for seemingly hours with no real repercussions. Especially in the latter half of the show. That is not normal for someone that works.

I think Rory would be more on top of things like house hold chores, education etc. Throughout the series Lorelai never wanted to help at school (Chilton or Yale). She never read the school newsletter and didn't verify the start date at Yale or go to parents day. Rory would be on top of that kind of thing. I also think she'd be more encouraging of the child to do the volunteering and extracurriculars before senior year of high school. But I don't see Rory coping with the child's tantrums well, or the screaming and crying. And if the child ever disagrees with her I don't see her handling that well. I can see her being the type of mom that will try here and there to be close to her kid but because of her lack of resilience, I see her as mentally checked out a lot while still going through the omotoins (cleaning, getting groceries, dropping her off at school etc)> And no hate to her character but I don't think she'd be able to handle a full time job while taking care of a child.So I think she'd be in a bad place emotionally & often rely on Luke & Lorelei...a little too much.

I think rorys bad character development was largely due to her never acknowledging her privilege. she got rlly entitled n bratty in college. What bothered me was how the show always treated her like the victim.

To be honest, I don’t know if Rory would have ever been accepted into the Huntsburger family. Especially because of how Mitchum treated her. Also, it gives me a weird feeling that Logan didn’t propose in a different way. He knew Rory didn’t like crowds and he proposed in front of everyone anyway. Like was that a sign of how a marriage to him would’ve been? Idk. And I think that’s something big to consider Which is why it was a cheap shot for her to end up with him anyway by way of cheating 🙄

Rory’s siblings name could have been Victoria since that was Lorelei’s middle name. If they were twins then Lorelei would have to think of another name and we all now that baby’s name wouldn’t be Emily. 😂 but yeah it’s interesting to think about is Rory had a twin and or sibling. Could there be a fanfic about that? Could I write it? 🤔

I honestly think this question would be more interesting if you asked this about Lorelai. What if Lorelai wasn’t an only child? If Lorelai had a perfect older sibling that did everything Richard and Emily wanted.

I don't think she'd force the child to have the life she was told she wanted and believed was her own idea (Harvard since dhe was theee? Like that wasn't Lorelei telling her that). Public school, any college, no college with a plan would be fine. She'd have more feeedom with that but maybe she'd be a helicopter mom anyhow, probably more stressed about the kid' to day to day life, maybe shocked she needs a child with a phone to reach at all times. She'd be protective in whats important to her. She'd ask Lane and Paris for advice, maybe ask other moms IRL, in geoups ir forums. She'd have comments on the other moms in the kids ballet class (its totally a girl child) and school, "funny judgmental." Maybe she'd tell Lorelei to stop trying to be fun grandma and to respect her way of doing things, while at the same time needing her for a lot. But i doubt there would be another episode unless it's Lorelei as a teen and early twenties raising Rory in the inn and then eight years later getting the house in Stars Hollow.

This sounds mostly like a nightmare, imagining that every awkward social interaction I have would be on permanent record. I kinda want to watch this episode though because I loved Jodie Whittaker in Doctor Who.

Neither…I think Rory is more Christopher than anyone else…I hope the baby will make her mature, and that she and Logan will be together. She an author (sorry, i’m a journalist - and Michum was right,Rory is not a journalist…) - and Logan a business man. And a life that is a mix of ther worlds. Or else I think the child will live with Logan - while Rory travel around 🤷‍♂️ And then there will be fun holidays in Stars Hollow 😊

I can’t see Lorelei having a rebellious child. There is no need to rebel she would let her child do whatever she wanted… well minus dropping out of Yale. Did she even have rules? If she stayed out late Lorelei may get mad once then just see it as something her daughter does and shrug it off as long as just something that child does.
