I restored mine 50 yrs ago. Luckily I was able to get all new sheet metal from the dealer. Drilled out all the welds and spot welded it all back together. (Canada)

Great video, I have a 280z and I’m putting in some firewall mounted willwood pedals and running into the similar stiffening and steering column issues.
The car is looking good man! Can’t wait to see it back together. It looks like SO MUCH WORK.

@@hixsfabgarage9926 mate I'm no stranger to this. Exactly t On what U have ahead of you. My advice.... Stay away from reproduction body panels. Bad news. Thailand steel. Instead look for decent panels. And get yourself some quality Japanese steel. However you find it first it. Japanese truck tool boxes light Bars .. Japanese motorbike pallets.. generator pallets. Japanese steel is superior. You have the skills to complete this task...I'm a sheet metal worker of 30+ years and I'm telling you...your absolutely kick ass on it. Is there anyway I can send you some pics? Email or something on here ? I'd love to help you brother

Ahhh this is what I had. My very first car. 4 door, orange but interior was creme colored. I'll have to check out your progress.
If your re chromeing them. You can have them triple copper them. Bring em home sand them and repeat till they are smooth. That's how we do all our show car chrome

It’s 18 gauge cold rolled steel. That’s what you want for welding.
You can hydro dip them not expensive DIY ,,, btw: I have parts what do you need ?
I got a lot to black out so painting is easier. Thanks I’m good on all parts for now.

I got them like 3 years ago on eBay. I have looked at his lenses and bucket but right know I need to spend money on other parts. Hope he comes out with a smoked look lens for it.
Nice video i have ordered the same pedal kit years ago this really helps to give me some guidance on routes i want to take. I wanted to be able to put my dash back in and keep it more original look . Awesome video!
awesome idea, saw something close to that about 25 years ago at a car show in st.luie. .... it was done on a wagon though. ether way, bright idea you got me following to watch the progress

No thank you, I resealed my tank last year. And plan on going with a fuel cell down the line.
Hi I don’t know if you’ll see this but how did you take your dash out? I’ve been trying to get the dash cover off for maybe a week now and I can’t seem to figure it out, any tips? Thanks!
There are a lot of screw and bolts that hold the dash in, for the pad there only 6 nuts under they pad. I can post some photos on my Instagram if you need to see them.

I always love a duck bill on a Z or a 510. Excited to see the trunk lid back on the car to get a feel for how it will look.

Moving along. I know how frustrating it is to find spot after spot of rust.
Yep feels like never ending but the car is strip all they way done so just got a couple more spots to weld up.

Sad to say no one has the outer wheel arches anymore. This is Futofab wheel arch but he has not had any in stock for over a year.
