Ah yes, the episode 00. Perfectly confusing, yet a truly awesome introduction to the characters. It's also a great setup, with tons of payoff spread throughout the entire series. And it's cool you're going with the broadcast order. It's certainly something… but overall a surprisingly interesting experience. Btw, do consider getting a version that includes the next episode previews. They should help you piece together the story.

I love this anime but the live action is hot garbage so im glad you're not watching it

I've lived in Korea for around 3 to 4 years, I was born in Korea but moved to Brazil when I was 10 years old, and the difference between cultures is totally different. I've seen a lot of bosses at work with some of my friends who were exactly like this, especially when it comes to women. It's not exactly something cultural, it's more about people. In Korea, even if you are older, younger, or the same age as the person, if they have a more important position than you at work, you have to accept any kind of insults because you are considered "inferior." I was lucky to work in a good place, where people are polite, but unfortunately, it happens a lot. It's no wonder that the suicide rate in Korea only increases every day.

You most definitely need to prepare your emotions for this one. FB is an emotional roller coaster honestly! But worth it when you get off the ride 😊

Just a couple of insights : Tohru does have friends, Uotani and Hanajima, but she thinks their living conditions can't allow for her to stay for months with them (small appartement, family of 5...). She's someone who would sacrifice her own needs for others. Shigure and Yuki are cousins, not brothers, and Ko is also their cousin. There is a lot more coming to explain gow the family works, don't worry about it ^^ I appreciate how you take time to gather your thoughts about what you just saw. The curse of the zodiac has a huge impact on the series, but as of episode 2, it's hard to see how. My favorite characters are definitely Tohru, Yuki and Akito because, for me, they represent perfectly the themes of the series.

Mental health is not taken seriously that much in 2024 yeah that's why i like how they kept it real .

spice and wolf takes place in a fictional fuedal europe during the discovery of 'crop rotation' and the ensuing transition that takes place, and thus, Holo is no longer needed for this village's good harvests (now using the science of crop rotation, Holo was actually doing this for them, but now they understand it themselves), and is now free to return back to her homeland in the north, but she needs a way to do so, and that comes with Kraft Lawrence (or Lawrence Kraft, always get confused between first and last names of characters in anime/manga, argh), and yes, you do get a economics 101 class lesson, along with some historical lessons of this time period in fuedal europe, and lastly, a romance and also sex roles lesson from Holo, grins the 3 "villains" in Spice and Wolf, are Holo's 3 competing love rivals towards Kraft Lawrence's affection/love, laughs, the first "villain" is the first ~half of season 1, the second "villain", is ~ the 2nd half of season 1 and the ~ first half of season 2, and the 3rd "villain", is the ~ last half of season 2

Chloe is one reason why the 2024 Version is more the original than the 2008 Anime Version. The other reason is the old anime skip Light Novel volume 4. Old Anime Season1 (13 Episodes) =LN1,2 ; Season2 (13Episodes)=LN3,5 New Anime Season1(25 Episodes) = LN1,2,3,4 & Season 2 is announced.

Just wanna add how the show explores different perspectives, especially in how characters interpret the same situation differently. Especially in the scene where Haein tells Hyunwoo to go to the doctor with her. From Hyunwoo's point of view in the first episode, Haein’s words feel aggressive. But in the second episode, from Haein’s perspective, her tone feels much more subtle. This is just one of many POV contrasts in the show. It's so cleverly done that rewatching it makes you notice details you missed the first time and it gets funnier at the same time lol Also, the cloud cytoma thing is purely fictional they made it up specifically for the drama. They referenced real brain tumors to create it, but it's nonexistent.

That was crazy how this drama started out! How often will your reaction of the following episode come out?

So common for people to be iffy about Carol, or even kinda dislike her, with her introduction, with ep.2. Only to quickly do a 180 and love her. Was thinking earlier, they did a good job making her weird, I guess. Which is part of her character, not having friends an so on. She is great though. Maybe my favorite character here. But I like the main cast basically equally so... Nice to see you seem to be enjoying it, especially the humor. Yeah, the voice acting is superb. Tomo-especially, but everyone is really great.

Lots to twist and turns in this kdrama! One of the best I’ll seen.

5:07 That's because you know the KyoAni of today. This show is literally the one that put them in the map. It pioneered a lot of things that are pretty common and taken for granted in mainstream slice of life anime today but was new at the time. prerendered 3d cg classroom backgrounds imposed with the 2d characters, fully animated dance sequences, rotoscoped fingers (on a specific episode) etc etc. Haruhi is also the reason why we get lots of light novel adaptations nowadays because of how popular this show was at the time.

The female lead on this drama has another drama which is completely different to Doctor Slump, it's called 'The Judge from Hell' which was also release this year. Probably one of top kdrama this year. Not sure if u would like the genre, it's a fantasy-crime-action-mystery-romance genre with 14 episode. A demon from hell who possess the body of a judge and killed murderers in earth and send it to hell.

Don't focus on romance in s1..I also have a soft spot for kyo(a perfect tsundere example) I mean if I have to give a comfort hug to anyone it would be Kyo and the other one hasn't been introduced yet

Kyo is an outsider bc of the old folktale (ep 1) the cat never made it to the banquet..sorry Eng is not my 1st language so u can rewatch 1st ep to understand why Cat is not a part of zodiac

After 6 months??

Tomo-chan is top tier romcom. Pretty rare. Was nice surprise for me when it came out and I gave it a shot. Was watching some of your Kimi ni Todoke vids way back. That one has its moments but plenty of issues and slow pacing too, and pretty frustrating parts. Tomo-chan on the other hand, keeps a good pace and remains entertaining throughout. Quite solid writing. Characters have real depth. Lol clearly he knows she is a girl (now at least), but it's his best bud, just doesn't view her as romantic interest. You are right, sticking to the way their relationship has been forever, the status quo. Change can be "scary", unknown where it leads. From what I have seen from the manga, the adaption is great. Some scenes have been significantly improved even. (I did read it after the anime)

The chairman (sagami) literally just wants the position to look cool. She wants to feel like a boss and literally just slacks off while the others are working which is why yukino step up to do all her works instead even though she was only supposed to assist her.

Looking forward to more reactions to this show. It's genuinely my favorite anime show of all time, and the follow up movie is the cherry on top.

the trio's personal development during the entire series is why this series is different from the average romcom. The story focuses more on each individual's growth, human relationship and them changing their view about their lives instead of forcing romance every second. Also you really need to read between lines to really understand it. The reason i really enjoyed this series was because the characters' struggles were really relatable to me at some point
