Good
I swear most of the teachers can't explain this

Another thing I didnt learn in school was to write "x" as ")("
undefine
A very well explained exercise in using the Lambert W-function. Nevertheless, "guess-and-check" plus a little insight can often be a lot quicker than the analytic method. Since 4^x + x is monotonically increasing with x, there can only be one value of x that makes it equal to 260. Since 4^x is much bigger than x for x > 1, we should look for a power of 4 a little less than 260. We know 4^4 = 256 and then we find 256 + 4 = 260. So x=4. It helps that it's an integer solution, but if it weren't, you could still get a decent approximation and then use Newton-Raphson to refine it.
I see your point, but your final point about “if it werent an integer” strays away from the intent. The point of the exercise is to be able to identify a general solution for any constant in place of 4 and 260, not to try to approximate a solution to the specific exercise.
Is this only for SEALs that do iCas in year 7,8 or 9?
Please keep with good quality videos You will definitely get success
