Very nice to see someone playing TOTK for the first time and see how their head is constantly exploding😄 I also like how newbies refuses to fuze weapons because game literally expect from you to fuze everything with everything.

"Since when do they have photographs?" Since the previous game. XD I must say, I really enjoy your way of playing the game and learning everything bit by bit, but I really wish you would have played Breath of the Wild first. Everything is more or less explained in this game, but both games together tell a continuous story.

Some pieces of advice for you: First of all, you should ALWAYS fuse new weapons you find. It improves their attack power, and DRAMATICALLY increases their durability. This is the primary use for all the monster horns you pick up, fusing them to weapons. Nearly every monster you kill drops a horn, and stronger monsters, like Hinoxes and Boss Bokoblins, always drop better horns. You are basically giving yourself a huge handicap in combat by not fusing your weapons. If you go into your "Ingredients" inventory, and press "Y", you can sort it by different criteria, and one of them is "Fuse attack power". This will quickly and easily let you tell at a glance what your strongest items are for fusing purposes. And you should always carry around a stockpile of pre-fused weapons, rather than doing them one at a time. This is because you have to manually take the fuse object out of your inventory, drop it on the ground, equip the weapon you want to fuse it with, then activate the fuse ability. You will have a hell of a time trying to do that when you're under attack by a bunch of monsters. And if your only good fused weapon breaks mid-combat, then you are going to be in trouble. So generally when you're in a safe and peaceful location, it's a good idea to see if you have any weapons to fuse if you haven't already. Trust me, doing this will make your life much easier when it comes to combat! Note that you can fuse objects to shields too, which can provide a variety of interesting and unusual effects. For example, try fusing a Flame Emitter to a shield! The best way to make money this early in the game is from selling gemstones. So ambers, opals, topaz, sapphires, rubies, diamonds, etc. The best way to find gems is to break open the sparkling rock formations you see. The sparkly rocks are most commonly found in rocky, mountainous areas or inside caves. So always keep an eye out for them. The best way to crack open mineral veins is to use some kind of hammer or sledge. Basically, any weapon where you have fused a rock or some kind of blunt-shaped object to it will be considered a hammer by the game (but it has to be fused, you can't just use a basic stick to break open rocks). You can also blow them up with bombs, but this is messy and will probably send your loot flying everywhere, which is a pain in the ass. :P Lastly, you can cook foods that will give you emergency stamina boosts when you need them, for those times when you need to glide or climb just a little bit further. Cooking up a meal with those Stamella Shrooms you've been finding will do this. Here's the trick to it though: if you cook a meal with ingredients that impart two conflicting buffs(like attack power and stamina), they will cancel each other out and you'll just get a regular, non-buff food. So if you want a good stamina refill meal, try cooking something like 2 Stamella Shrooms and a piece of meat or a Hylian Shroom. Just don't mix it with something like a Rushroom or a Spicy Pepper, because that will nullify its stamina effect. Ok, I know that's a lot, but trust me, this is all information you will find beneficial! :)

For some reason, nobody try to open the big door in the castle with ultrahand. Also, i think its alright to say this: you missed a shirt in the sky island. And now that you have the paraglider , the game really starts.

Can’t wait for Part 9! Btw don’t forget about your ascend and rewind abilities… ascend can often be faster than climbing if you spot some overhangs. Oh, and bomb flowers can be fused directly to an arrow… much easier (and safer) than dropping the bomb flower and then shooting it with an arrow.

You can use a rock hammer on all of the sparkling mineral rock formations. 😊

@47 - You asked if you can make Winston faster. Yes, you can later in the Akkala region. There's a way to increase all of his stats.

The minerals are mostly good for upgrading the various different armor sets. They will require quite allot, but selling them early is very useful. 😊

You will want to come back, and take pictures of the floor map, and the Geoglyphs in the order that they appear on the walls. This is the order that you want to see them, rather than, as come across them. Otherwise you will ruin the story for yourself.

The camps with constructs, and mosters... Climb up high, then shoot the wooden shields that separate the two groups with fire fruit, and watch the fun. 😄

If you don't want to spoil the story for yourself, make sure to do the Geoglyphs in the right order. Also, I highly recommend becoming a good hunter, and gatherer. One of the best ways to make money is with cooked food.

Love the episode, unfortunately Winston is not a Pegasus. He can't fly. :D Next time you see a shrine but you don't want to complete it try walking up to it and activating it only. Who knows what that will do. :)

Pro-tip, trade in your lights of blessing for more hearts and stamina at the goddess statues! You’ve got enough for 2 more vessels now. There should be a statue at Rito village
