I'm not Mormon, not in the LGBTQ+, etc, but I'm a supporter. I support them bc Dan said to love everyone. I've met kids my age who are Trans and lesbian and I told them I support them and love them for who they are. Thank you, Dan, for telling me this.

I am mormon but left the church years ago...I was baptized and raised in the church.my father's whole family is mormon..I was going through very tough times.depression,anxiety...I was married to someone that is a psychopath ,crucial abusive to me physically and psychological,etc..I'm still a God believer and all I can say to the lgbtq community is that God loves everyone 🙏 ❤including the LGBTQ ❤😇😇🙏🙏🙏

In my point of view, homosexuals don't have to hope for change in the churches to welcome them. But instead they should (like all people on the world) use their logic that wheather it's the Old Testament or New Testament, it's books writen by humans. Like eg. Jesus were also just a man. And as humans (whatever sex, gender etc. or whoever we are), we don't have to follow what other people say or write. But follow our own belief, as long we use logic, science and kindness to others. BTW: And yes, ofcause we can love whoever we want, as long it's consentual. What people do in the bedroom, are a private matter. And human right.

As a gay man growing up in the Northeast of the U.S., it’s not easy. Shame, suffering, hiding who I was. Depression anxiety, substance abuse, etc. Thsts the Northeast where it’s relatively easier than other parts of the world. I can’t imagine what the Mormons of Utah are going through. I’m so sorry that you feel alone. I’m so sorry that you hide who you are. Please know it gets better. Don’t give up. If you must, move to a metropolitan area. Freedom does exist for the gay community now on our country. NYC is wonderful, but so are many other cities here. With open arms we welcome you.

Left the church a decade ago because of its stance on minorities. Learning the rules were changed "by god" when racism became illegal was enough for me to realize it was a foundation of lies, and further research into the church's founding showed the truth. Unfortunately for the LDS church, it isn't easy to cover up things anymore as social media, search engines, and basic human curiosity make it near impossible. My heart breaks for those who have lost their lives because of these lies. No one deserves to believe they're better off gone from this plane of existence. I regret every dollar in tithing that I ever paid that empowered the hatred.

Our culture is humanity. Our religion should be humanity and spirituality. Nothing else.

I clicked on this because I thought it was a documentary on the single Believer, and now I can't stop watching because it's so interesting and moving. Watching those people living both as believers and as LGBT members or allies hits hard. As an atheist I can't really relate but I respect and empathize with all my heart.

This is so kind, having advocates like these famous muscians will give ordinary mormons, who feel similarly uncomfortable with this aspect of their religion, the courage to be vocal/compassionate for their lgbt neighbours too ❤

This just makes my love for this band grow so much more. When I just came out as a lesbian, I saw Imagine Dragons live for the first time and I cried my eyes out when they gave a speech about equality. I may not be mormon, but seeing how much they care about equality just means so much. I love these guys so much.
