A brief about Kelsang Metok 格桑梅朵 _Gesang Meiduo_ Kelsang Metok 格桑梅朵 (Chinese spelling “Gesang Meiduo”) was born on October 10, 1984 in Jinchuan county 金川县 in Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang autonomous prefecture 阿坝藏族羌族自治州, northwest Sichuan 四川, she won the first prize at the Aba Youth Arts Festival, and became a favourite apprentice of a famous singer Namkha Dolma. In 2000 she joined Ngawa Kelsang Lak troupe as a solo performer. Through her songs she wants to promote and develop Tibetan arts and culture.
