My career and travel journey began around 30 years ago. Fast forward to 2019 when I hiked Camelback Mountain and flew an open cockpit plane in the same week. I looked at my son and said; I can try anything.
That changed my life. I felt newly empowered from pushing myself to accomplish something outside my norm. I retired from a fantastic tenured communications career to answer a new calling to public service. I ran for office, and won with 74% of the vote. What a victory! It felt like the victory of climbing that mountain. My mom was so proud and my biggest champion. She then passed away in the summer of 2022.
Without my mom to share my journeys with, I turned to TH-cam to share w/ friends, family, and anyone who was looking to journey with someone. @@connycatlady7429 people hide ducks on cruise ships. When you find them you can keep or rehide. It’s a very Royal Caribbean thing to do.

@@connycatlady7429 we have Brightline in Orlando newly built. There are rail project plans but the movement on these are slow. But yes, planning rail lines and a better train does make common sense, especially when planned correctly in city centers where it can bring more visitors to areas and boost economy.
We can't do that here because it's HUGE. You have no common sense
@@HandlingItAll I realize it is much bigger but in areas like Florida, they just built a new high speed train in Florida to connect major cities called Brightline. You could also have more water taxi’s in New York on top of the ferries that exist. In Michigan there’s two ferries that take you across Lake Michigan to Wisconsin. We could have twice as many at the very least. Places like Disney could have those huge day storage lockers on site, same with stadiums. This all makes perfect common sense.

How did you get from the airport to the city center and back? Where did you store your luggage? I would be much afraid to miss my connecting flight.
@@hhielscher great questions. My luggage was checked so I only had a sling shoulder bag with me. I took the RER B line and switched at Châtelet taking the M 4 line and getting off at Saint Germain des-prés. I was VERY nervous about it and VERY scared. I got a little turned around in the tunnel on my way back which slightly freaked me out but I found the right train with time to spare.

Way to go! Two of my favorite places - Rough Draft and the Udder Side. 😊 I stopped and talked to those cows, too. You will enjoy the dirt roads as you continue north of the cabins - they cross the St. Joe River several more times. Very pretty.
