How long did it take you to
@@marcushubbard4574 the labor quote calls for 3 hours. I think I did it in an hour maybe an hour and a half.
Great, informative short video. No BS and I appreciate that. Subscribed.
You forgot to tighten dowm the air intake clamp 😅
😂 I knew somebody was going to catch that. Don't worry I caught it before I closed the hood.
What a headache 😢
@@AlexandersHomeRepairs yeah, definitely not GM's best design
Hi, how many mileage to oil change 2008 rx350 lexus ? Thanks for your reply 🙏 😊
@@edgardavid5417 I recommend changing the engine oil every 5000 miles regardless of the year, make or model.
This was extremely helpful!🤙🏼
Awesome ! Thanks man
Someone is giving me a Focus with a bad transmission. It has the stupid dual clutch thing. Is it possible to replace that with a torque converter style automatic?
@@bobdoingbobthings unfortunately no, those Ford focuses came with a dry clutch. So replacing it with a conventional automatic transmission torque converter which requires transmission fluid would not be possible.
Do i need to take off the exhaust system/manifold to be able to change my head gasket?
Im just asking because ive heard you can do it without taking that off if you do it carefully but im not sure
@@Rocchardt you can remove the heads without removing the manifolds from the heads. But the manifold still need to be disconnected from the rest of the exhaust system to remove the heads.
Hey Mate! Thanks for this video! Its a great one! How's the shifter holding up after a year? Cheers!
@@projecthikaribyrhg I ended up selling the car a couple months after posting this video 🤣
Amazing
I pushed the “trip button “ to clear mileage, but have no additional buttons near that trip button.
It's crazy that people call them upstream/downstream instead of what the ECM calls them: 1 and 2. Thrown code isn't going to say the upstream/downstream sensor is bad, it'll ID 1 or 2.
no idea why they do that either .
Is this a fnr5 equivalent transmision that's in the ford fusion?
@@RE-fy6zb I don't believe so
Okay thanks!. Great video by the way!
Anyone know where the pcv valve is on these damn things?? Lol
How many miles ? Ridiculous at the reliability built into older Lexi.!!!!
@@joemikey278 I can't check the exact mileage right now, but I believe it was around 130k
This is such an amazingly clear and helpful video. I appreciate you showing all the rest of the steps after you got the cv pushed in the transmission. You never know who your videos might help or what aspect of repairs they might be figuring out. I am actually replacing the cv as well as the seal and this helped so much for knowing what the seal looks like and also for removing things to get the cv in and out. I found another great video but they took off the steering tie rod and other things. Good to know I don’t have to do all of that. Do you torque wrench your ball joint bolt? Do you know how man lbs for that? You rock. Even though I try to do my own maintenance, if you were near I would trust you with my Mazda if I needed advanced maintenance because I like how you take care with this person’s car.
@@GMoney-B thank you so much for the awesome comment it's people like you that make it worthwhile spending all that time editing these videos. As far as torque specs go it's very difficult for me to talk about on my TH-cam channel even if the vehicle is half a year older the torque specs can be different. But for the 2010 Mazda 3 lower ball joint locking bolt you should be between 60 and 65 ft lb.
How much for this job on the same car
Just got a quote from a Toyota Dealer - $2200 with parts and work. Guess I'm gonna DIY this one with a new pump for $200 and my hours.
This is a crazy amount of work just to get to an oil pressure sensor. Ford engineers crap just increase labor cost.
@@jodiewhittaker5777 yes and no, the only reason it's difficult to get to is because this is the 4x4 model. On the two-wheel drive model you can just crawl under the truck and pop it in and out in 10 minutes.
What i dont understand is, why garage take 2 - 3 hours when people on youtube can do it within 15 min. No cut .... ????
@@HUNDRED_A.I couldn't tell you, pretty sure this job only calls for an hour labor. But I've been doing this for a long time so I'm probably faster than most.🤷♂️
Thank you 🎉
I am having the issue with my 2013 F-150. Is the Speed Sensor in the same spot for the 2013? I can't find it on my 2013 5.0 V8 F-150.
@@DustinRGreen-ww4og unfortunately I'm not too sure. I do know the vehicle speed sensor is located on top of the rear differential. But as far as an output shaft speed sensor I wouldn't know. And it would depend if you are 4 x 4 or rear wheel drive.
Did you ever figure this out? I'm having issus with my 2013 4x4
@@rancewhitaker5003 it looks like you're a model it is inside the transmission. Either near or a part of the valve body

Hello, how exactly do you remove the top plug on top of the compressor? struggling to get it off its in a tight spot. Trying to verify I'm getting voltage at the compressor since its not kicking on with proper refrigerant. Most likely the coil thingy failed on the compressor but I don't want to take everything apart before being certain.
thanks, great vid. saved me a lot of time.

What brands do you recommend?
@@igorn7648 honestly, most " brands" these days are the exact same product with a different sticker slapped on it. But if I had to choose I would say OEM or Monroe. Unless of course you're planning on switching to adjustable coilovers then I would say go with BC racing.
@@13sGARAGE what brand did you go with and are u satisfied with it or do you wish you went with a different brand? There’s just so much different brands that it’s overwhelming to choose one, have you ever heard of kyb if so ur opinion on it? Is it better to change the struts and springs at the same time? My car is 2011. The springs and struts back and front oem is about $1200 plus tax. If you can get any good aftermarket once for half price is it worth getting oem since the car is pretty old now but it has only like 90k miles
@@igorn7648 I'd go with Monroe struts. This was a customer car but after the repair I did my test drive and they drove great.
@@13sGARAGE I’ve seen Monroe just now and it’s weird they don’t say if it’s for front or back and I didn’t see that brand for springs. It says it’s economy with no warranty. I don’t want the cheapest once. Have you tried any other brands
@@igorn7648 are you looking online? I would recommend going to a local parts supplier. Because Monroe is definitely come with a warranty.

Great tutorial on how to change out the starter
Hey is the same as a 2005 Buick Century?…..I just purchased mines today I was thinking it was going to be the same at rear ones.
@@hoover274able I doubt it'll be the same, but it should be very similar.
Dummy you have no business doing an oil change the drain plug has a torque spec and new oil goes on the filter gasket
If you torque your drain plugs you’ve wasted a significant amount of your time
Question! I didn’t see you change the oil crush washer, are there crusher washers on these cars between the engine and the oil bolt? I’m about to do my girlfriends car next weekend lol
Sorry about that, I probably forgot to check it on camera because of how concerned I was that there was no oil in the engine. But yes, definitely check the crush washer and replace it if you question its integrity.
Thank you for this!
