Sabotage is too strong - Hamilton let slip that Russell got the updates for the race, and he would get those updates for the next race. Its unclear if Hamilton practiced with those updates before George got them for qualifying. Its certainly odd, but not unusual. You would think the practice runs were being used as a coin toss for qualifying unless Hamilton only did as well because he had the upgraded car. The fact that Verstappen didn't do as well would be of much more concern. But then Leclrec got to win on home soil, and the local anthem was heard for the first time in 98 years, so go figure. I guess the racing gods, didn't want anyone spoiling their divine plans. The rest speaks for itself. A truely boring race, leaving me to wonder if Hamilton in fifth would have tried to close the gap on the leaders, or sat back like Russell did. Hamilorn only said what he said because Mercedes did not come out with an official explanation of Hamilton's qualifying form. On the plus side, now that Leclerc has this home win out of way, we can expect a fairer competition when Hamilton joins Leclerc next year.

The part descrepancy is dumb. Teams often only upgrade one car to see how the parts work before spending another $100-250K for a second part like an expensive wing. Add the fact Mercedes have said what their computer models say and what the parts do are not aligning. George gets the part because he has been performing better.
