At LA CRC, we support family caregivers in LA County who help an adult relative or friend (over the age of 18) affected by chronic and debilitating health conditions including dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, cerebrovascular diseases, degenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s, Huntington’s and multiple sclerosis, and traumatic brain injury, among many others. Caregivers help with any of the following: physical care, making health care decisions, cooking, cleaning, managing medications and doctor visits, making important decisions, shopping for groceries, legal issues, help with bill paying, bathing, dressing, or providing transportation.
CALM - Caregivers Are Learning More - is our educational programming designed to help family caregivers feel more confident about caregiving.
Our TH-cam channel will provide CALM content in the form of educational sessions, webinars, recordings, How-To videos, etc. for family caregivers as well as other interested community members and partners.
