The Model 3 was recently announced with a huge kickoff at Tesla as Elon gave out 30 Models 3s to employees of Tesla. We finally know all the specs and the final look and features along with the pricing. So i wanted to do a quick comparison between the Model S and the Model 3. Hope it gives individuals enough of an idea between the two and if it is something you should wait for or order the Model S instead.

  • @Uhleekuh80
    @Uhleekuh80 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    So I know this is an old video, but I have a question. Is there a limit to how long you can drive at each level? Whether it be speed or time? Like for example, my Sequoia won't let me drive at the high or low setting above 15mph, not a Tesla, just example. If you wanted to could you drive the Very High setting all the time, or even at the low setting at all times? Thanks in advance!

    • @heins4745
      @heins4745 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      high will auto lower after a certain speed, forgot what, could also be 15mph. Low doesn't matter. infact theres settings in the car to "auto low faster than X mph" if you want, or you can set it to always auto low

    FYI, your wheels are on backwards. The ones on the passenger side should be on the driver's side. They're designed to work like big fan blades and suck air from under the car, for aerodynamics. They're on backwards, so they're forcing air under the car and generating lift which kills high speed stability and reduces battery range. Get them swapped around!

    • @AlanMcYou

    • @alwayspluggedin4241
      @alwayspluggedin4241 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Eric Austin I've actually not driven one or been in one without it yet. But I don't really think there is much of a difference on the ride itself. Others have done reviews on both and a slight difference that doesn't seem to be noticeable either. There are some cool things with the air suspension which is being able to raise it to prevent the door from hitting a curb when a passenger is opening it. Or scraping a steep driveway. But if you don't have those concerns then you should be fine. Hope that helps

    Hi , thanks for the video. Have question for you, Since you mentioned your kid is 2yr old, doe she have enough leg space when rear facing ? I am looking to get this for a 2yr 6mo kid who is about 3feet tall, and it will be installed in rear facing configuration for at least another year.

    • @alwayspluggedin4241
      @alwayspluggedin4241 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Vignesh Baliga leg room seems to be enough for my daughter. One thing too that will make a difference is the child seat you get. The Maxi Cosi we have has three different settings which allow the seat to recline back a bit more giving her more leg room. But it does take a bit away from the front passenger seat. So if a tall person tries to sit down, it will not be spacious to them with the child seat in the back.

    • @vigneshb5347
      @vigneshb5347 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, thanks for the reply. I am thinking of Pria 85 Max and installing it in the middle, better side impact protection plus I have heard less nausea. Ref: thecarseatlady.com/5-times-safer/

    • @alwayspluggedin4241
      @alwayspluggedin4241 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Vignesh Baliga if you do the middle then both seats will touch the seat as the gap between the two seats isn't as wide as the child seat. But once you can go front facing putting it in the middle will be fine. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

And here is a link to the first 200k Tesla techcrunch.com/2016/09/29/tales-from-a-tesla-model-s-at-200k-miles/ One thing I've noticed is that most Tesla owners drive the crap out of their cars and compared to gas powered vehicles, there are less moving parts that can have issues. Also the car communicates with Tesla if there is a problem and Tesla reaches out to you just like in this article.

    • @alwayspluggedin4241
      @alwayspluggedin4241 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anoop Mahal don't get me wrong, it's not a bad thing as Tesla does a great job with noise cancelation and when the music is on you can't hear ending. I'm just saying I'm used to cars where you hear the engine noise and exhaust and it takes a bit getting used to when all that is gone. But even with the music off the noise isn't bad at all.
