Punching myself, again (clone shot 2)

This video is an update to "Punching myself in the face". I wanted to try timing up several punches in one shot. Without any skill with mattes, it looks a bit janky but the overall motion is very satisfying.

We live in a Constitutional Republic....
The United States is both a democracy and a constitutional republic. "Democracy" is often confused with a "pure" democracy, in which every decision is made by popular vote. Merriam-Webster's secondary definition of "democracy" is "a form of government in which the people elect representatives to make decisions, policies, laws, etc. according to law." So, in this case, democracy and republic are both applicable.

Have humans ever faced this problem before? Answer is no However you state you believe “this isn’t a new problem humanity has ever faced before”. Sadly you are admitting you believe something that isn’t true. Hope the best for you and for all humans on this topic.
I was saying that since we're already creating new people all the time, creating artificial people won't be a greatly new problem for the future of employment. Not sure where your misunderstanding was, sounds like you simply missed the whole, "strong AIs won't be sufficiently distinquishable from people."
You have to pay a human so it can support its personal life AI doesn’t have a personal life or a family to raise Why pay humans?
If strong AIs are people, I support their being paid.

They are likely attracted to something in your house that resembles food or shelter. They are drawn to bright colors, especially red, which they associate with nectar. If you have flowers, red or brightly colored objects, or feeders near windows or open doors, they might mistake these for sources of food. They could also be exploring reflections or seeing the plants inside your home through windows.
that is really cool!

oh, you're talking about Trump... It took me a sec, but now I get it. I would suggest that you also consider the economy and the state of the world of the last four years before you vote one way or another.
I would, but I can't vote yet.
@@DutchPattersonoh mb, I suggest you suggest that people should consider factors including the economy and the border before voting, and or, choosing their position,
For the economy, it's true that GDP was higher under Trump (at least before COVID) but any economist will tell you that the President has very little impact on the economy overall. As for the border, I don't like how Biden handled that, but I find Trump's border policies reprehensible. Also, Tim Walz, Harris' running mate, previously handled the border so well even Trump gave him a personal phone call to thank him. ---- Anyway all this is secondary in my mind. Biden could be the single worst President in history in terms of policy (he's not, Buchanan was much worse) and I'd still support Harris over Trump, since she at least is not actively trying to overthrow democracy. Again, that's even if I didn't like her-I do.
@@DutchPatterson In response to overthrowing democracy, I believe that there is something to that, and that some of Trump's words and or actions do lead to that opinion of him, which I don't particularly disagree with. However, I do believe in our nation's ability to not lose it's democracy from one president after one term. And that there are other things at risk (such as a general moral decline in society that should also be discussed). I would also argue that certain policies that were enforced by Biden's administration did have an impact on the economy and stifled growth and artificially respired the economy with printed cha-ching $$. Now about the other topics I believe are important to be considered include the candidates' views and historic support of certain causes such as trans rights, abortion, and the movement away from traditional families. (which ik are subjects that have been beaten to death, but I still view them as quite important) I believe that supporting these issues is bad for our nations stability and thus longevity, also I believe they are morally wrong. So, if a candidate supports all of these issues very openly, while the other side at least claims to not support them and might possibly move to contain their growth, I make make my decision accordingly.
@@DutchPatterson Also, I believe that's great that Kamla's running mate did a great job with the border, however, she didn't. Again, I'm glad Tim Walz did such a great job, however, I fear Kamala's policies (or lack of them) toward illegal immigrants (which led to aprox 8 mil at the Southwest Border alone). If you say Biden handled the border badly, why would you think his vice president would do better. (i realize that Tim Walz might just do a great job, however, I would worry that Kamala may interfere and before any growth can happen in the current border situation, although she has seemed to take an approach on addressing how to fix the border crisis in her campaign.... I would just ask her why she let it get to the current position it is over the last 4 years)
Do you have herpes
Cut my lip a week back lol, still healing. Could be worse, last week I looked like a German dictator.
It's an interesting idea, never considered it. Climate change isn't going to stop, it's way too late for that.
The moment we stop emitting, global temperatures will stop rising (unless the delayed effects of melting tundra, which releases additional CO2, keep snowballing for a little beyond that). Now, whether humans will actually stop emitting anytime soon is definitely up in the air. Hopefully soon, but it's difficult to be optimistic.
@@DutchPatterson Think it's better to be realistic than optimistic. We will reduce our pollution because we can, developing countries cannot. Besides that, nature is like an oil tanker, it takes a while to stop.
Aye, but the top seven emitters (in descending order, China, the US, the EU, India, Russia, Japan, and Brazil) are responsible for 2/3 of all total emissions each year. Developing countries can't cut their emissions yet, but they aren't nearly as big a share of the problem. www.c2es.org/content/international-emissions/
@@DutchPattersonTrue, I'm looking to Africa, projected to have the highest population growth. In some decades, lots of African countries could become major polluters.
there is a huge problem with the blue whale Male population,.....they recover very slovly, since they almost where completely genocided....Maybe they could help by inseminating artificially the Female population ,to make the recovery quicker.
Hey Dutch, Bearing arms 1 popped up on my recommendation and I really enjoyed it. So I had to watch the 2nd which is even better. The stunts were actually impressive. Loved the camera work, locations, editing, and the bear of course. I also make homemade films, so I was able to appreciate your work on this. If you need any assistance let me know and you’re welcome to check out my stuff if you have the time. Looking forward to what comes next!
Yo, thanks so much! Compliments from fellow filmmakers are the best ones 😊 I'll be sure to hit you up sometime, and will definitely check out "Genesis"-it looks awesome!

One can argue a lot of the current federal setup is extra constitutional. We can argue many presidents have done extra constitutional things. So what is new
Oh, for sure-the Necessary and Proper clause, along with the Commerce Clause, have been used by Congress to justify all sorts of things. However, actively trying to supplant American democracy is a whole other level. We can stop this! Vote for Biden.
We need to keep voting left until we have nothing left. “You will eat bugs, own nothing and be happy “…
I consider myself a conservative and am only recommending that people vote left because the current right candidate is a fascist madman.
@@DutchPatterson lol…let me guess this is your first maybe second opportunity to vote. you haven’t even begun to experience life yet. Vote left and enjoy 70% taxes and total government control. The conservative option wants to get rid of government control. But your college professors will keep you up on all the communist brainwashing.
Not even, I'm a senior in high school and can't vote this year, hence why I'm being so outspoken this election-I want voting to still be a thing next time. I don't like the Democratic party. I think it's bordering on authoritarian these days, particularly in its tolerance of radical anti-gun folks. But I firmly believe that Trump isn't just bordering on authoritarianism, he's living and breathing it. As for if I've been indoctrinated by communists, I've been told that before-mostly by alt-right guys who know absolutely nothing about me. I'm pro-life, I'm pro-gun, heck, I'm even pretty libertarian. But I don't trust Trump with the Presidency again.
Again… you probably watch a lot of lame stream media. You definitely don’t pay taxes like I have for the last 40+yrs. Apparently you don’t even know what a fascist is. Ask yourself the question why is it the democrats hate Trump so bad he was their money bag for many years. Only when he decided to run for president they went on attack? Long before your time president Regan did the same thing and look what happened to him.
He's the most successful con man I'm aware of.
good choice
You made a vague accusation with no supporting evidence. The evidence would be nice.
His supporters aren't trying to hide it. static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_FULL.pdf He has already stated he wants prayer back in schools-as a Christian myself, that's blatantly unconstitutional-and implied he'll sell Ukraine to the Russians (he already tried to over the Hunter Biden dirt). The guy attempted to overturn an election, do you really think he'll bow out gracefully after another four years?
@@DutchPatterson Do you have the source where he said he wants prayer back in school? When did he imply he wanted to sell Ukrain? When did he attempt to overturn an election?
www.reuters.com/article/world/trump-tells-evangelical-rally-he-will-put-prayer-in-schools-idUSKBN1Z22AM/ (he's been hazy on whether he means federally mandated prayer or merely semi-protected prayer by people in school) Ukraine: www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-reviews-plan-halt-us-military-aid-ukraine-unless-it-negotiates-peace-with-2024-06-25/, www.politico.eu/article/why-donald-trump-hates-ukraine-us-congress-kyiv-war/, thenationonlineng.net/trumps-going-to-solve-russia-ukraine-war-says-orban/ (plans to halt U.S. military aid, blames the whole thing on Ukraine, meeting with Viktor Orban on the subject) He tried to overturn the results of the 2020 Presidential election by pressuring Mike Pence to violate his Constitutional powers to falsify the ballots, then sent a mob into the Capitol shouting "hang Mike Pence" when the VP refused to bow. He's been unable to shut up about it since. ---- Thank you for your curiosity, though-most people don't have that.
Indeed, the weirdest thing I’ve seen. Sincerely, Ape Man

@@DutchPatterson not at all, just tactless honesty. lol. You seem interested in physics and appear to me to obviously have sufficient intellect to actually do it. Physicists in general are about three quarters self-identified as atheist, and if one restricts one's survey to those at the highest levels of their field, eg. members of the NAS, the figure rises to roughly 95%. These numbers have been remarkably consistent for over a century since surveys have begun on the topic. A few scientists in the hard sciences of course do retain their religious beliefs, but if I were a betting man....well...
