Nicely done. I like your visial style. Were any of your videos originally shot on film in the DS8 modified Bolex H8 camera?
Hey, thank you for enjoying the video. Everything here was done with the Sony A7S3. Film is something I have recently got into, and it's a bit of a slow process. I would love to share DS8 Bolex H8 shots as soon as I get to try, but for now, I am still collecting H8 RX lens and also film stock. It won't be till April 2024 until I get to try it, but I would definitely will keep an update.
@@amapro_ted sounds good! I also have a Bolex H8 Rex that has been modified to use DS8. I’m wsiting on more film to arrive. That stuff is kind of hard to track down if you just want somme film! Most places only sell other it along with processing and scanning. Good luck to you and happy holidays!
@flyingo I look forward to seeing your footage soon. Hope you have a wonderful holiday, too. A little curious on how you obtained your ds8 bolex? I got mine in an antique shop in France.
@@amapro_ted , I had purchased other cine gear (lenses, cameras, etc.) from a seller with whom I had developed a good relationship, so I made sure to win the H8 auction cheaply, as other bidders were only interested in H16 models. Once I received the camera I discovered the DS8 modification. I then told the seller who had no knowledge of it’s modification as it was just a piece from a big lot of 16mm & 8mm gear they had bought at a local auction on the east coast. Unfortunately, because of it’s origin, the seller had no information about who, where or when it had been modified. My research turned up only a handful of companies or people who did that work.
