Epic, of course. The only question, not related to the cinematic execution: why, for Emperor's sake, Necron put their vital part IN THE HEAD? I mean, why having a HEAD at all, is this some kine of pervertion? Why Drednought have no head, it is all steel box on legs, but necron, even the mightiest ones, MUST have a vulnerable head on them? Are they THAT stupid? A millions, eons of years of evolution and technological perfection, they practically killed GODS by themselves - not some unknown predecessors, but those same warriors - and they cannot just crush 3 pesky space marines, like lice? Lol, out of my understanding.

Awsome video, but what sets Astartes apart is: No slow motion No telegraphing attacks The Camera is always still/panning/following from one perspective That makes it sober, and depicts the universe in way one would describe the ocean. Cold and unforgiving, oblivious to those who fight for survival What we see here though is really good, but to my taste a bit too much school of Hollywood

Not a fan of necrons but I'm sick of seeing space marines win all the time.

The fact that GW essentially killed Deathwatch as a stand alone chapter right before Space Marine 2 and this came out is the real comedy

I love the idea of having a small unit of Space Marines where each member is from a different legion. Also, good to see the Crimson Fists represented. They were the legion shown on the cover art to the 1st edition, Rogue Trader rules book, and the original plastic Space marines box set. And, because there wasn't a green colored legion, at that time, they were the first legion I chose to paint my minis as. Ahh, good times!

Awesome animation, terrible quality.

This video really captured how "demi-godlike" the Astartes are in the eyes of regular humans and even the Imperial Guard. They seemed overwhelmingly grateful for their arrival and equally terrified of them at the same time.

I don't know wiis complaining about the music...but it works .. and objectivity is just great timing and great intercepting the senses. Extremely great capture of ambiance

Not only the best WH40K animation, but imo the best animation made to date. It does not miss a single beat. Literally Pixar, Disney, DreamWorks level of artistic eye candy and mind melting. Unbelievably good.

I know 24 FPS is like "the cool framerate for cinema" But it just looks clunky and shit to me. Even 30fps is more visually pleasing. This actually hurts to watch when your used to 60fps
