Beavers Bend State Park 2024

Took a quick lil weekend trip up to Beavers Bend State Park in late July 2024. The twins were out of town so it was just the wifey, toddler, and myself. Wanted to do as much as we could in that short period of time. Left the camper at home and brought out the ole tent. We trout fished, and hiked quite a bit. We caught 7 rainbow trout, a few creek chubs, and some sunfish. Train ride was great, saw lots of deer. The paddleboats were great. The hiking trails were great, and marked well.
Cant wait to return back with the rest of the fam. Thanks for watchin and see ya next time.

Mount Rainier National Park 2023

Had a great time out at Kimball bend park for the weekend with the fam. Was definitely a fishing campout trip, caught quite a few diff species of fish. Alligator gar, long nose gar, drum, yellow cat, blue cat, channel cat, giant gizzard shad, perch, and lil freshwater crab. Fishing Matagorda

Another successful Matagorda trip for the wifey's Bday. This portion was all from the Colorado River in Matagorda area. We generally do pretty well just fishin in the river, so not a real need for us to get all up in the flats. Alaska Cruise

Daisy State Park 2022

Took the fam out to this beautiful park for spring break 2022. Very nice, clean park. lots to do there. We hiked, fished, and did a lil cruisin around, just outside the park, to fish the neighboring streams for trout. Was a great trip, will definitely visit again. My 7 yr old hooks onto a nice 5 pounder, in the lily pads. Using a frog popper, was fun seeing him experience the top water explosion.

Matagorda fishing

Another great trip to Matagorda. We fished mostly in the Colorado River area this time. No keeper reds this trip, but plenty of black drum to fillet up.

Jellystone North Texas 2020

Drifting for big blues on Tawakoni

Here on the awesome Lake Tawakoni we're catching a few nice blue cats. Depths from 30"-50" with cut shad as bait. Caught/released 20 & 27 pound blues on here. Around 30 smaller blues made it to the cooler from the weekend trip. Thanks for watching.
