Clutch cover spacers for more oil and clutch weight room! Just lay the cover on the aluminum and draw around it. Find a bowl or paint can to make a nice circle for the middle. Use a jug saw to cut it out! you don't need a drill press, just and ordinary drill will work for making you holes. Have fun! Actual oil increase? Just a bit, but it helps! and now the clutch weight is not rubbing as well!

Me gusta tu sistema rápido. Mil gracias
thanks. People tend to over complicate a simple operation! :)
Hi , thank you the tip Is it still working till today sir ?
thanks! Yea, mine too. It has been years now and all is well! Nice thing is you can do it again and again as you remove the tank!
@ i just did Hope it will last long as your one
It looks like you used inches instead of millimeters on your feeler gauges. The bottom number is what you should have used.
hmm. no I used mm. The gauge is confusing. At what time in the video are you referring to?
Tnx man ! Am just picking up one soon (first bike) 🎉
Enjoy! They are such nice, easy to control bikes. You are gonna love it.
@MotoWorld777 got it and yes first time on it and such a nice bike, was surprised with power plenty for me to be honest.
The perfect combo: KTM690 and HUSGVARNA 250FE I own both and depending on the trail I want to hit, the more technical is for the husky and the fastest is for the beast.
yea, sounds good. I do like the power and lightness of my KTM 450, but I would not mind having a 690!
Great Video. But no mention of the tools needed or how to turn the crank shaft. I got to the point of finding top dead center and realized I didn't have the 14 mm hex for the crank. hope this helps anyone. Its the bolt/hex near the gear shifter.
put bike in top gear and rotate the rear wheel
Thank you 🦾
Have you been using it? You never touched down on it in video... have you got to where youre leaning back on it? Did it save
Hi, It did need to be adjusted down a bit, but yea, all is well.
Your're not top dead centre. the mark is the one on the outer most part of the sprocket almost touching the chain. its about another 60 degrees clockwise from where you are.
look at 5:15 and you can see the little dot on the sprocket is at the top. TDC.
check also at 9:40 you can see the dot again right at the top.
I wanna learn how to make one for a honda monkey or grom, although not the one with a minature wheel on the back. Just two bars that act like regular bike pegs with some more metal to protect the back of the bike when I scrape the back on cement doing a wheelie. Buying a wheelie bar for honda grom is kinda costly, they're about 400-600 bucks, so I wanted to learn how to make one myself. Prob would cut the price significantly.
go for it! You can do it. Then make a video for it, so others can also do it! Blessings on your project!
That's a bit of a chore 🫣
actually, it is not hard and will take some time, especially the first time. But easily doable!
genius!
Great video, very helpful. Thanks!
sure, thanks for the encouragement!
Can I buy your fe250? lol. They are hard to come by!
where are you? Mine is the european model- full enduro not a duel sport.

What tires are those? Look sick!
Hey, I have a Kenda big block in the back and an Anake Wild in the front. The Anake Wild is a great tire with good grip on and off road, the Kenda big block is better off road, on quick deceleration on the pavement the Kenda tends to loose grip and you feel like you are riding a Super Moto race!. On the other had they are relatively cheap but good tires.
@@MotoWorld777 Thanks for the information! How well do they perform on tar roads though?
Where did you buy the weight from?
hi, that is an 11 oz weight from "Best Dual Sport Bikes.com
Getting one for my beta 200rr. 20 hours on it, and dropped more from not being able to put a foot down. Need to replace my exhaust, mirror, and shifter already. I'm also in my 50s and getting that leg over is work. 30 years of injuries, definitely hold me back. 😂 But still having fun!!
yea, it was definitely worth it for me! lowering link then dropped the forks in the clamps about an inch or so. So much more comfortable and usable in my opinion and yea, I can touch the ground easily and I end up falling less! blessings from here in Tbilisi!
could you tell me what the torque settings were for those bolts on top and on the side of the cams, thanks!
hi, I usually answer all questions very quickly, but I just got home and it is nearly 10pm. So I would have to look it up, I don't remember those things. So I suggest you do the same. You can download a manual for the bike as well that will show the torque settings, or just google it. Good night.
@@MotoWorld777 i did, and got the job done. you could put them in the description to help others watching, the top bolts, 10mm are both 15nm, and the t30 side bolts with the o rings are 10nm! :)
Simple yet effective video. Thank you sir, you make this job seem much less intimidating!
you are welcome! yea, just take your time and you can do it! Blessings from here in Tbilisi!
Thanks very much for sharing this. Greetings from New Zealand, have been wondering how good these are for trail riding. I'm in my mid 50's so encouraged to hear your comments regards your age and wishing you had a bike like that x number of years ago! 👍 Ride safe.
great to hear from you. Yea, I am 61 and been riding since I was around 11. For trail riding and light to medium Enduro, there is no better bike! the suspension is outstanding and the bike is very maintenance easy. Blessings from here!
How do I know if this is making the ticking noise or the valve tensioner?
this? For locating noises, you can put a long screwdriver with the metal end against the tensioner or any other place and the handle end against your ear, where ever it is the loudest, there is your noise and possible problem.
@@MotoWorld777 I meant the chain tensioner, but yeah it sounds logical, thank you 🙏
I have a clicking noise from the chain. If I do what you showed in the video will it get rid of the problem?
On those long Adventure rides, this really keeps the ride smooth and helps minimize arm exhaustion.
Nice one!
yea baby! just like me, slow and always trying to overcome obstacles!
@@MotoWorld777 But the difference is that this bike still has to prove it's reliability and durability. Yours are well proven already))
I replaced mine just as you did and it actually made the ticking worse. Also now feels like a loss in power also falls kn its face sometimes and stalls at low rpm
hmm, not sure, but it is a hydraulic unit, so even if you put it in loose it should immediately tighten up when you start the bike. Either you have a problem with the tensioner or it could be in the chain or sprokets or even the valves. Are you valves adjusted properly?
@@MotoWorld777 I've got it torn down gonna do a valve adjustment soon here. I'll let ya know what I figure out
Hello! I also live in Georgia and own a Gasgas with a similar engine. I was wondering, where did you get valve shims for this job?
Hi! I ordered them on Amazon through USA2Georgia. Takes a few weeks but you can get a kit with lots of sizes, Probably you can get them at the Husky center here in Tbilisi as well.
i see you are in georgia how i can contact you
send me your email or whatsapp or telegram and I will contact you! :)
??
hey mate, how much maintenance does it require?
Hello, honestly, I just keep the oil changed, air filter clean and chain lubed and that is about it. I am on my second back tire, still original front, although it could use a change. I did adjust the valves once. It fires up every time and runs perfect. I have no complaints.
@@MotoWorld777 thanks ✌️

Is it true that it promotes rust on the exhaust/headers?
hi, it depends on what your headers are made of. Stainless, aluminum, titanium will not be effected, some kinds of coated headers are also ok. I believe the scrambler headers are stainless, if I am not mistaken. I have had no trouble with mine. But I recently bought some "Titanium" wrap to replace the fiberglass wrap. The fiberglass is not holding up well. Let me know how it goes!
@@MotoWorld777 I'm using the stock headers of a Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer. I hope it doesn't rust 😅
Good idea. Pretty easy to do. I'm trying to figure a way to core holes cleanly from left to right, figuring two staggered rows of 1/2 ince cored foam would make a huge difference... maybe trim the top and fit a gel layer on it as well. Those 6 hour plus rides... lol
Did it effect your riding or did it just make noise when you noticed it failed. I have a 2016 husky 350 fc and I am noticing the rattle noise, but also feels like something is loose upon accelerating in any gear.
Hi, no failure! I had removed it when I did my valve adjustment and simply did a separate video on removing adjusting and reinstall. If you hear rattling, it is likely either the valve tensioner or your valves. Pop it out and inspect it. Lots of guys go for manual adjusters, but if it is working keep it in there. You can also take off the cam cover and inspect the tightness of the tensioner (before you loosen it and also do a valve measuring to see if they are loose. Let me know what you find!
I have the same bike same year and every and I'm having the same problem it does it whenever it's a idle whenever I start it and then goes away but then if I shut off and start it does it again I don't know if I should be worried or not bc it stops whenever I'm riding
Did you have to set it to TDC before removing the tensioner?
no, not at all. The tensioner only puts pressure on the chain. If you are adjusting the valves, then yes definitely put it on top dead center using the marks on the valve chain sprockets then remove the tensioner. then use the screw at the bottom of the case to lock it in place. (only on the 250s and 350s). To only check the valves just use the timing marks on the timing chain sprockets.
Thank you. That's what I thought but another person's YT video seemed to stress that it needed to be done first (for cam chain tensioner), which didn't make sense. Thanks again.
@@MotoWorld777 Hello and thank you for the video, I would like to ask another similiar question about this. I removed my tensioner to check if it was the source of my rattling sound, and it was the problem. After that I pushed the bike in neutral (without any tensioner installed) in my garage about 5 meters and in my mind it shouldn't be a problem but a mechanic friend insisted about a possible issue which is timing chain missing a teeth, which would be bad. Based on your experince do you think I should be worried? Thanks in advance for your answer and have a good day!
@@egezengin1586 hey, yea, that is important! If you have any suspicions cam chain or sprocket problems, pull the valve cover and inspect everything. I can not imagine the chain or sprockets loosing teeth unless you had a piece of metal go through it or you have 50000 miles on the bike. See my valve adjustment video or getting to the top end. It is pretty easy.
@@MotoWorld777 Turns out the only problem was the tensioner itself, after moving the bike and reinstalling the new tensioner, the bike just ran perfectly. And by "missing teeth" I meant as in jumping or skipping if that makes sense. Thanks again for the video it was a great help!
God damn you should continue to put out more content. Such a simple and honest approach to presenting…perfect.
Well, God Bless! Yea, I have fun with it all and like to try stuff! Thanks!
Really appreciate the video. These are not common parts so it’s soooo helpful when one is looking to buy and install them.
True! And they vary in price and what is included in them. You really have to research. I actually ordered this kit from Italy and got it a lot cheaper! It is night and day difference in the ride and capability of the bike.
Thanks, I'm gonna get one soon!
took it for a nice long ride today and it ran great! Love this bike!
nice, just what I needed!
Great video! Keep it up!
Thanks, Lets ride!
6 months later, I am still so pleased with this seat! Longer more comfortable rides!
I always love people refusing to replace 35 cent O rings and copper gaskets....I am not that brave personally
I guess it depends on their condition and if you live in a place where you can get them!
For the life of me I cant believe that the stock internals are much cheaper at all to manufacture than the stock ones on all these bikes....so WHY IN THE WORLD dont they just put better internals in the STOCK BIKES??? I dont get it? Either way it is several parts
good question, especially with a Ducati!
thanks so much!
No way, another bike??? There’s never too many)))
yes, it is true, there is always one more you need to be complete!
Where do you live?
Republic of Georgia
@@MotoWorld777 Tbilisi?
yes, Tbilisi.@@Hoser1mVm
Goodness brother. You really need to pull those plugs. Align your crank and use the crank lock bolt to hold that thing steady. Just remove the bolt. Remove the spacer and tighten it down. . The tiniest amount off and your valve measuring isn’t even going to be close to accurate. Did you not even release your tensioner?
Great advice if you are working on the 2020 250! But not on the 450! It is single overhead cam with no crank lock bolt also don't need to remove the chain or touch the cam tensioner. different procedure. I may do another vid when I do my 250 then you can see that procedure which is very different and more complicated.
@@MotoWorld777 lol I guess I should of paid more attention to the year. Guess those outside caps should have clued me in. I haven’t done one of these tho.
actually the 450s and 500s are still single overhead cams, only the 250s and 350s are double. so the procedure is the same.@@Scummy_shovel
Did you say 237 hours? Holy shit. That’s insane hours on no valve adjustment
Well, as I said, I got it used "so I don't know" if it was done before. But, I will say, they can go a lot farther than the book recommends, especially if you are not racing.
@@MotoWorld777 I ran a 2021 fx350 180 hours before I sold it and it was still running perfectly fine. . It was never raced tho. Just some trail rides and single track. I have still gotten 100 hours out of my race ktm motors. I have a 22 fc350 right now with 115. I’m rebuilding the top end tho. I prob wouldn’t but me and my son are planning a trip out west so figured I’d freshen the whole bike up just to be safe. My luck and all. Be a lot cheaper and easier doing here than 20 hours from home and not knowing anyone lol. I’m curious to see how far out of spec this one is I raced it 80 hours before he started trail riding it. Still runs and starts good tho so I’d say it’s not far out
beautiful
thanks!
How thick rebar did you use?
