Listen. A poem about what we can hear when it rains.
มุมมอง 681ปีที่แล้ว
The sky is a powerful thing. It teaches us the power there is in letting go of our tears. Water can be incredibly soothing and therapeutic - so it stands to reason that our tears can serve the same purpose. This is to remind us of that. Chapters. A poem about sticking to our story - even the parts we don't particularly like.
มุมมอง 280ปีที่แล้ว

4am. A poem about letting go of the worries that keep us awake at night.

I wrote this poem during the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020. 4am was a time that I was seeing over and over again when I would wake up wondering and worrying about all the uncertainties of life at that time. I figured other people might be feeling the same way, so I wrote this. It is from the book Talking to the Wild and is one of my most popular ones whenever it is shared. www.amazon.com/Talking...
I am your harbour. A poem I wrote for my two children about the depth of love you feel as a parent.
มุมมอง 446ปีที่แล้ว
I wrote this poem many years ago now when my children were much younger. I have explored a few more depths and layers since then but I know there will be many more to discover! I have two children so, at the end, I used 'two oceans', however, it can apply to you, however many children you may have. The poem has also been used as wedding vows so it does not have to only apply to a parent-child r...

I am nearing the end of my 5th decade of a life that has been filled with miracles, broken glass ceilings, successful physical competitions, professional success….and failures, embarrassments, injuries, losses, disapprovals, and disappointments 🫢 How wise you are to understand the importance of EVERY experience, whether positive or negative, to make our unique journeys through life…and IF NOT HIDDEN IN SHAME, perhaps a gift for the next generation to learn the life includes all experiences 😊

Yet again, you share another brilliant insight of living and surviving and honesty that is so complicated to feel, & yet you simply but eloquently explain the hidden truths. 😊

I have listened to many of your TH-cams reciting your poems-do you 😮understand…really understand to your soul…how amazing and wonderful your gifts are? ❤I am a physician👩🏽‍⚕️. I started programming computers at 8 years old and programmed 💻for the military. I competed in mountain biking 🚵‍♀️and swimming. I did research at prestigious medical centers 🤓like Duke in North Carolina. But I NEVER COULD APPRECIATE THE BEAUTY AND MESSAGES OF ALL THE POETRY I READ…❤until I heard and watched your reading and examined your facial muscles and breathes at just the right spot…👐👐soothing my soul more than any reward or treatment I have ever received 🥹

I had read the piece before and was humbled by the simplicity the author used to explain my decades of struggle and growth as a scientist and a professional. And then I watch this TH-cam with the author explaining in her beautiful voice why they chose to hide a butterfly in every scene…brilliant and true…because the metamorphosis of a butterfly is constant change…but with a designed PURPOSE😮
