TM Books and Video: One Final Visit
มุมมอง 3.4K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
Footage of what is likely my final visit to TM Books and Video. This footage and photos were taken during the public memorial for Tom Mccomas. At the moment, the I Love Toy Trains store has an uncertain future. The store will stay open until Christmas, but if it will stay open after that, it is unknown. TM Books and Video, the company, is NOT shutting down. They have not announced it. Only the ...

R.I.P. Tom McComas
I still have all the videos, great times always!
This is a wonderful video . I can almost see and feel Tom watching and enjoying it. Thanks for posting it! TJ
it's enough to make a grown man cry
True......
Why don’t you just give the store to his son Jeff
@@baileyjanssen8911 I don't own the store
RIP Tom Mccomas. Your work at TM Books & Videos will always be remembered to us model railroad fans and railfans alike.
Why close it?
@@mmandmcb14 Read description.
Even though I wasn’t around when I love toy trains was made, I still grew up with it and cherish it.
This is a very sad loss But think about how big of an impact it left on the railroading community Thousands of young kids like trains more than they did a long time ago It sparked a big interest, new people young and old sti like trains , and funny jokes If it weren’t for the I love toy trains videos then the interest for model railroading would have dwindled in old people and completed died off in young people This hobby is a great hobby I remember watching the I love toy trains and big trains videos about the south shore line Had I not seen those I would have wondered “ what was the south shore line “ And how they have tracks with four rails the two. Rails to the left are from passnegers trains and the two rails to the right are for freight trains I would have never known that with help of these I love big trains videos It was also apart of me and my brothers childhood And it would be indeed sad to lose it But at the end of the day He wasn’t just some ordinary train loving guy He spread his love of trains to everyone in the whole world
So sad to hear about Tom McComas dying. I certainly hope the store stays open after the Christmas season. I grew up watching I Love Toy Trains videos and would love to visit the store when I get the chance. You’re lucky you got to meet James Coffey. How’s Jeff doing?
@@AlTilleyTheBum-pt4mx Jeff's doing alright.
@@WesternOhioInterurbanHistory Glad to hear that. Hopefully he and his mom will work to keep the store open.
A place for me to love and see!

Tom’s passing is a huge loss to the hobby.
I’ll be praying for them regardless. I don’t want a part of my childhood to disappear forever
Me neither

Did they close it down if they did I’m gonna cry
No. The store is still open every Saturday until Christmas. However, after Christmas it is not known if the store will countinue staying open.
Nah, I don’t think so!
No. After the Christmas season, it’s unknown if it’ll stay open. I certainly hope it does.

Please stay open forever
I agree, it should be a stable for Tom McComas' legacy now.
Yea please stay open!
Please stay open!
I hope the store stays open! T_T
I never been to any of those places
Wow
(NO, TM BOOKS AND VIDEO IS NOT SHUTTING DOWN. THEY HAVE NOT MENTIONED OR ANNOUCED CLOSING ANYTIME SOON. ONLY THE STORE MIGHT AFTER CHRISTMAS) As the description says, I attended Tom Mccomas's memorial at the store. As sad as it was in all honestly, at the same time it was the perfect sendoff for Tom. So many people came there, including James Coffey, (who I personally met) to honor Tom, share stories, and it was a beautiful day. Kids were swimming in the pool, and people were talking to each other. James Coffey music was even playing. Trains were running in the store, and people were playing baseball in the field. People were laughing. These were all things that Tom loved, and if Tom was there, he would have loved it.
I felt so bad that I couldn’t pay my respects to Tom and his family. But I did share a tribute to him on his obituary and had a few memorial trees planted for him.
@@SeanMcReynolds025 Thats great!
I'm so glad they had a memorial with all of the things Tom loved. Thanks for posting this and giving some of the details of this event. TJ
Hopefully, I personally will believe that they will be reopened after Christmas time, just maybe, whenever Charyl McComas or Bob Phillips is under as new management
