You will not catch me standing anywhere near a milk crate rack sorry. I'll do a lot of dangerous things but not that sorry. There is a reason consumer fireworks injure so many people.

Dont try to recrate this. Milk crate racks are SO EXTREAMLY dangerous, Im a professional pyrotechnician. The best way to make your own racks is some 2x3's and some HDPE tubes. DO NOT USE PVC if you have a firework fail in the tube it will turn the tube into a grenade and fragment, HDPE will Buldge and tear.

Yes, same TYPE of tube, but these were not from excals, these were bought from Pyro Boom directly. If you ever make a milk crate rack, make sure you put a board at the bottom of the crate under the tube's, otherwise the tube will spring up off the plastic right out of the milk crate and fly away lol.

Nope, longer tubes have only two purposes, comets and mines. The mines can hold a tighter pattern similar to a longer shogun barrel would for its pellets. And comets to get a more severe angle in a rack that otherwise the tube wouldn’t accommodate

@detonationpyrotechnics4156 Depending on the shell, a longer tube can theoretically make them go higher. It's pretty basic physics it's why 9mm ammo out of a pistol is slower than 9mm out of a rifle. The barrel is longer, meaning the projectile gets more speed. So if you apply that same principle to fireworks, you get the same result. Now, are we talking hundreds of feet higher for consumer shells? No, but for professional 1.3g explosives, absolutely a longer tube will make them go higher. For consumer fireworks, we were talking about MABEY 25 ft higher, so it's not a huge deal to get longer tubes. Sorry, I wanted to nerd out

This was like 9:45 pm in Washington state and doesn't get fully dark until 11:30 pm after the shoot site closes at 10 before the 4th.
