Hello Dunrovin Ranch , I have been looking for the osprey nest live , I hope everything is ok there and the ospreys Winnie , Swoop and eaglet are all doing ok
I pray that someone at Dunrovin Ranch will read this today June 20, 2021. I believe that your black horse is "bullying" your palomino. I witnessed this "bullying" today on your cameras. These two were locked alone, together in a closed paddock. I watched as the black horse terrorized the palomino. This behavior lasted for approximately 5 minutes until the camera turned away, so, I believe this torture did not end for the palomino even tho the cameras were not showing it anymore. I've owned & been around horses my whole life. I am 64 years old & horses have all ways been my absolute favorite critters ("dogs take second "). Please see the "stress" that the palomino is under. I've seen the black horse terrorize the other horses in the "larger" field during feeding times. I do understand the "pecking" order of horses. But, this is where a human needs to get involved & separate the black from the rest while feeding. Please do NOT take offense to my suggestions. I think your Ranch is wonderful & the animals are very loved & cared for. I watch every day. I can't express in words how much I enjoy & appreciate you sharing your Ranch with all of us. Now these are not ordinary donkeys, and that's not a guess. I've met them both; heck, i've helped feed them. Certainly said Hello to them every morning, and soon got over my surprise when they Good Morninged me ...Working at the incomparable Dunrovin Ranch last year, I couldn't help noticing that all the animals -- horses, donkeys, dogs come to mind -- are brilliant and sparkly with Wild West magic, in a peaceful and harmless way. Te gates that you see here, and some fences, were tended lovingly by my hands. It was a further privilege to be observed at all hours by ospreys overhead, sometimes returning from a fishing trip. The nest has a cam, so you can see them back. They do not look upon human beings as equals. For one thing, they're totally free, and intrepid. I sure can't fish anytime, and neither can you. So maybe they've got a point. Check them out here or there. Montana is stunning enough in itself, like the best of Switzerland, Nepal, and Nebraska. These little pockets of sacred land are scattered like pearls all over the state. This is certainly one, minutes from Missoula, and if you have ever read A River Runs Through It, Lolo should ring a bell. Dunrovin ranch has cabins for those visitors who want to feel the giddy-up of the REAL Montana.
