One of my parents’ friends owned a James Garner corvette and a Paul Newman corvette. He told me to watch this when I was 17, and I loved it. Watching it again, it’s an okay movie. Maybe smart by today’s standards, but not great. But the racing scenes and cinematography were revolutionary at the time, and still timeless…

I actually think that the Joker isn't the monster people make him out to be. I know it's not excuse for him to murder but I understand the rage. I've had it all my life, and as a disabled person, I recognize the need to blame society for pushing me down at every corner. It doesn't mean I don't try and do the right thing, but blaming society instead of myself actually helps me be compassionate towards others and know that there's a bigger problem out there that's creating these monsters. And I'm going to stop it!

Easily the greatest motor racing movie of all-time. Btw, yeah the cars today are much faster, safer, and overall technical marvels, but the rocket ships of this era of racing had so much more character- not to mention the engine sound was music to the ears- and every make had it's own very distinctive sound. Maybe I'm tone death, but today's F1 car all sound the same- and too quiet for my taste.
