thriller book reviews and recommendations✨📚
Let’s talk about The Crash by Freida McFadden
UGH! I finished Freidas new release, The Crash, today! It’s safe to say I was once again disappointed :( I was really looking forward to reading this one after hearing good things about it.

Freida McFadden is one of my all time favorite authors. She always surprises me with her twists and turns in the story. It was fun to see her writing improve over the years.
How did i know what it was just by recognising the side of the book...
@Justfroggily hahahaha I love that
Fourth wing. Though I'm a bit bias, because I love dragons and I don't particularly care for age gaps.
Fourth wing
As much as I adore Fourth Wing.. Serpent gets my vote. It was one of my 6 star reads last year
Oooo okay! I’ve heard good things about serpent!
@@molsbooks It was so fun, think Hunger Games meets Vampires and magic. Some of said vampires have wings. I read the novella after it, it was a good break from that bloody ending. Ashes and the Star-Cursed King was a definite change of pace after Serpent but I adored it. It's stuck with me. Also, it's got my favourite first line of any book I've ever read. It does NOT take anything away from Fourth Wing though, because it's a fun read too. I loved it, just not as much as Serpent.
I have never read any of Freida McFadden’s books but browsing through Target, the offerings look like she’s pretty popular. Needless to say, the local public library seems to have a lot of her books on hold or out on loan! I’ll give her a try and thanks for the review.
@@Bobbie-c4sure she’s definitely very popular! I’d try out a couple and see how you feel, they’re all really easy reads but ive just found some of them a bit repetitive and predictable. The housemaid series or never lie is a good start into her books :)
in my mind, i feel like this book is defined by how divisive it is. i've formed a recent tradition called a "spookmaxx" where, beginning around the start of September, i try to consume as much horror media as i can before Halloween. i used Reddit to find recommendations and when it came to books, this is one i saw get discussed a lot (right next to The Ruins and The Troop). one day, i'd see people swear by this book and the next day, people were talking about how much it sucked. i've decided not to read it and i think that's for the best. this review really helped to solidify my opinion because you really went into depth regarding it. thanks for the video :)
I agree, I’ve never seen a middle ground for this book it’s either a love or a hate! I had such high hopes for it and I was so sad i didn’t enjoy it 😔
I’ve read the first book and it was good
I haven't tried it! Is it worth it?
@@shahira9906 yess! I’ve only read the first one but I’m really looking forward to the rest
Just started reading it... Loving it so far
Haven’t read it but it looks, actually good
For me, it was Things I Learnt From Falling, a horrible biography that was too descriptive about an uninteresting situation and I had to DNF after 30 pages
@@hiraesthetic4485 oh no! That’s a shame, I hate when authors drag things out, I nearly DNF this one but I forced my way through it because everyone said the twist was amazing, it was not😂
how many ch and pages are there?
There is 64 chapters with 359 pages :)
If there were additional books for Woody & Tina or Cadman & Gabriel, I'd read them lol Or even Dimitri & Zoe! Everyone's story was so interesting and layered!
I just finished this one yesterday! Great suggestion! So thought provoking!
