3rd gen single cabs are the best looking trucks ever made
how much would it cost to get this done to my truck ? ( i have the same kind , 05 dodge ram 1500 4wd)
Depends on the axles you use long arms short arms what steering box setup I mean leaf springs and a 5 lug Dana 44 should be pretty cheap best thing to do is just get a parts truck and swap everything over then upgrade it down the road
What axle did you use dana44? And did the rack and pinion work
Dana 60 out of a 96 the 44 would be the same thing and the rack and pinion would work if you got extended arms for ‘em but I’d still do a cross bar with em been working on the crew cab build be back on this one shortly
Gotcha and what about 4x4 the stock driveshaft or reach. If you can give me a parts list of what you had to get to make it happen I would greatly appreciate it man
@@tltsell987 will do haven’t looked into that but I figured it’ll probably be have the flange cut off the stock half ton and welded and balanced to the second gen driveshaft that way it bolts in to the factory transfer case but could get lucky and the factory second gen one bolts in but yeah should be home this weekend I’ll look it over

nice i just got w150 crewcab. i want a cummins swap obviously, but with bidenomics i plan on just doing a simple 360ci v8 refresh so i can git her on the road.
Next time I better see some safety glasses and atleast gloves or a guard when using the death wheel

Your next video on the 1st Gen can you show the radius arms setup I want to do the same thing to my thank you and keep up the good work
Arms that are in it are mock ups the next one will be doing the doing the frame work so it will have the new design frame mounts then going back together it will have the new radios arms being built and getting the axle to 5-7 degrees for y’all
Let me ask you a question here. How does that coil spring suspension feel going down the road?
Haven’t got it running yet but it’ll ride better then a second and third gen and it will be way better the leaf springs

Yeah I can add in some more detail of why this step is needed in the next video and why it’s a little more different then leaf spring 4x4 swap
