That seems kind of strange to rank what you call his 11 BEST films, from WORST to best. If they're all his best, then none should be called worst, even worst of the best doesn't do them justice. Why not just simply say rsnking his best movies, and lose the negativity? We all know what ranking means anyway. 🤔

The list is totally subjective in terms of "the best". Everyone has different favorites. The catalog is so tremendously rich with high quality tracks that, depending on ones mood, any album on any given day could be "the best".

The first Led Zep LP was released the day after I got home from VietNam. I'd been a fan of the Yardbirds since For Your Love, in Spring 1965, and had kept up with Jimmy Page through singles and guest appearnces, so I was primed for the LZ album. It's still one of my favorites, and one of only two or three I still play. I was less happy with LZII, and, while III interested me, it drifted around too much to claim my attention. I'd been incorporating guitar tricks I picked up from the recordings, like many of my friends, incorporating feedback, and dissonance, to make new sounds. The new Led Zeppelin album offered a whole new world of six-string pyrotechnics, especially on How Many More TImes, Dazed and Confused, and Communication Breakdown. The album stayed at the front of my record stack for years, today I have a dozen varieties of recordings, from vinyl to cassette to a half-dozen CD copies. I had the 8-track tape, in 1969, but I sold off my 8-tracks in 1973, as cassettes were coming on the market. Only Houses of the Holy made a bigger impact, for me, Zosa a tad too slick. Still a great album, but less compelling. Sorry. If people are ranking Coda and ITTOD over Presence, they have no clue. ITTOD was recorded in record time and half of Page's solo parts had to be played on keyboard by JPJ because Page was stoned out of his mind at that point. Coda over Presence...I am throwing up right now.

I can understand your pick for Blow Up as for it's place in your childhood. Hell, there are people out there who think Rocky 4 is the best Rocky for the same reason. I thought all ACDC after the Night Stalker association and the PMRC deal became cartoonish with their writing. The same with Ozzy and Twisted Sister. Bark at the Moon? Leader of The Pack.? These lyrics are best ignored .

I had "Blow Up Your Video" as my first AC/DC album in 1988. It was pretty forgettable IMO. And ahead of "Back In Black"? That's kind of like someone saying "Load" is a better than "Master of Puppets".

You're right to have Bons albums ahead of Brian's. The Brian albums fall away pretty quickly for me after the first couple of tracks. I would have moved Let there be rock further up the listand dropped a couple of others. Back in black #3 for me.

When making this video I had never seen Hombre or the Bravados, but since there were so many comments about them I watched em both and I liked em. Especially the Bravados. Neither were able to crack the previously formed list, but at least the Bravados should get an Honorable Mention.
