I wish they would use cars. A four seater is all you need unless you want to add a bathroom in it. You can even make it with all the seats in one row. Someone said, what happens if you get stuck in the tunnel you can’t even open the doors, but if there is a wheelchair ramp and a door in the back, then you can make the door in the back. It’ll be interesting if there was an extra one in the front. If there is no oxygen in the tunnel, you would need oxygen masks like if you were going underwater. Maybe you can take your hyper loop directly onto the the space elevator, and then fly it into space

Very well explained how innovation works. Try a lot of dead ends and learn, and each year try a different version with different goals, eventually you will have a new vehicle.

My opinion is that the hyperloop will be used for the evil side

The permanent magnets in the levitating system will induce the more eddy currents in the rail, the faster the thing goes. And, because these eddy currents are against the permanent magnets fields, the coils must be powered more and more with rising speed! Where are the profs here? Does anyone at TU Delft understand basic magnetics and electrodynamics? As an engineer, with each idea I have for a new design, I have to do the most basic calculations to support it, especially, if the goal is energy efficiency, but Delft VI seem not do so, as if Newton never worked. You will not take the lead so, rather the way to narcissistic ignorance....

Does Delft the sixth even do calculations of energy consumption? Energy for maintaining the vacuum? Energy to levitate (a steel/wheel/rail system has almost negligible rolling resistance)? If this is the science they do at Delft TU, staring on some graphs and be impressed on how energy efficient it be, they never will contribute anything for any green development in transportation. This loop hype not even contributes for a better education of engineers no more, because believing seems to be more important than knowing.

TU Delft Hyperloop is one of the world's top university student teams. I can't wait to see what you can create with passion and skills!

It surely would be cool, but I doubt it will ever become real to the extent of mass human transport. Mainly construction - and perhaps even more - maintenance of such a huge vacuum system to ensure full safety, simply seems technically unfeasible.

Will a hype-loop take me to the grocery store or to my aunt Emma who lives across town? No? Then it is not a transportation system that most people will ever need or use. These things will only take you from one large city to another without stopping. Who has a need for this? Mostly people who can afford an expensive ticket. Will they be enough to pay for this insanely expensive project? Of course not. And so why should the vast majority of the public want to pay for something they will never use?

Imagine if the skylight videos were custom-made to suit every single leg. Yes, I know that's very implausible for launch. Yes, I want it as an update after it hits profit.

Je kan er wel een leuk verhaal omheen draaien maar dit is Delft geen Den Haag. Nederland is een klein land en Europa duurt zolang dat iedereen blijft vliegen want stel je voor dat er iets in Europa werkt dan kunnen de kamers van ieder land wel inpakken (en dit gaat NOOIT gebeuren).
