I was ten years old in 1959 when we got a radio. We used to listen Binaca Geetmala at 8 PM on Wednesday's regularly. We use to note down all the 16 songs every week for more than two decades. My father's favourite programme was 'purane geet' from radio cylone at 7.30 AM everyday. That craze for any programme was unparalleled for Binaca Geetmala. It was somewhat challenged by television serial Ramayana and Mahabharat in the 1980s. New generation has nothing to relate themselves to an era, event and emotional attachment. Time is great and it never comes back.

You took me to my childhood. This was a memorable program then by legendary Amin Sayani. Thank you.

Binaca Geetmala was an eagerly awaited programme on radio when we were young.

How can we forget his mighty and melodious voice and his contribution to the Radio.

Beautiful and minty, light green tooth paste in a yellow and green cover with a compliment of rubber animal dolls. We used to collect them. My father used to listen binaca geethmala, in my childhood. Wonderful and unforgettable days. 💐👏👏🌹🌹

Great job...It reminded me of the radio days when I waited for Binaca Geetmala.

I dont know if we have the official numbers but I think almost every radio in India was tuned to Binaca Geetmala mainly because of Amin Shani's imortal voice! And keep in mind those days neighbors without radio could freely walk into a house with a radio. It wasmore like a weekly social event. Thank you for bringing back those beautiful memories!

❤6-12-2024:-I am very lucky fellow to hear this " BINAKA GEETHMALA" RADIO PROGRAMM AFTER 60 YEARS. In those days this programm use to broadcast everyday in the morning. Thank you very much to the this TH-cam channel management.

Efforts made to telecast such an old Binaca Geetha Mala program with its anchor Amin Sayani is really laudable.

My Daddy used to give us Cibazol broadspectrum tablets and ointments to apply on our wounds in 50s and 60s at Hyderabad Sind and at Karachi!

Ciba factory was at West Wharf where my cousin Ishratullah used to work who later on migrated to USA .

The Wednesday night Bibaca Geetmala programme was never to be missed. So was the best song of the year contest based on how long the song remained in the programme based on listener interest. Oh, those were the days - the 1950s! S.Subdaresan
