1:27 is it not common for basic electrical knowledge to be taught in school? Most people should not have to be told this.
Really enjoying your videos, the subjects and presentation are well done.
new subscriber! Great video!
WOAH ! what machine is that ?!
I guess if you wanted to use mains power instead you could try using the sort of transformer plugs that are usually supplied with mains-powered led strings you find on sale around Christmas. Also, here in the U.K. you can buy a similar product but which comes with dummy batteries. I have two of them which can power one, two or three led devices which use either two or three AA batteries. I can't be sure, but I imagine you could actually remove the dummy battery attached to the wires that go to the transformer, solder a DC jack on the cut end and add a female DC socket to your project (??)
Awesome
Can you share how the little "arena" for the Scooterbots works? I saw some lights and rings for the bots to go through. I would like to try this with my students.
At about 5:00 you say “it takes pressure off the gear”. No. It cuts the filament and then extracts it.
New subscriber.. love this idea.. i have 3 bambu labs and 1 Snapmaker Idex printer J1. I still haven't tried using PETG with PLA yet.. or tried using Pause print settings .. which can I use AMS for swapping colors? Also wanting to try TPU filament with another filament to make RC Tires and Rims.
First time I've seen AMS poop as desktop decoration, lol, kudos to you!
Hey is there any chance you would share the cad files? I'd like to modify the tile so i could use it in my project which uses the small 8x8 matrix
so lovely and fantastic !!!
Bought the motors of the Aliexpress link and the cables of the motors are too short for the printed model.
Same here
How do you handle letters like "i" and "j" with the dots separated from the rest of the text?
This is so fun. Thanks. Can't wait to see the kids playing with these. Maybe a random foot ball game in a open box. Love it.
Lot of chemicals thrown out in the batteries in a sustainable way...
So, something was skipped. If you NEED an 11ohm resistor, but you only have two 22ohm resistors, what do you do? or, what did YOU do? For those who didn't see that explanation, because there wasn't one.... this situation happens a lot. You wire 2 resistors in parallel. The math is R1+R2/2=R3, so 22ohm + 22ohm divide by 2 equals 11ohm. US Navy Avionics A School taught this and in the older discrete component avionics once us Navy types were underway and asea far far away where the USPS and FedEx couldn't reach us..... we had to know electronics well enough to do the calculations and build 'work arounds' for parts not on hand.
I can't get the wires in scooterbot
Very cool
Come on, this vibration walking robot is well known since 1988. At least I have a book with a model of this robot made from soap case and 4 tooth brushes. And as for today there is a whole diy category for those, different vibration robots are made from only wires (and batteries with vibro motors of course) Neat design for 3d print, but the main idea is to make this completely from scratch all by yourself.
What happens if the letters aren't touching each other?
You could either print and wired them individually and have regular wire connections between them or add opaque channels to the back of the model to run the led filament between them without being seen from the front.
@@redtide08 in the word beautiful the dot on the "i" is not connected to the word using that font do you create a thicker outline on the word?
@@Peacefullsound1 I would make the clear layer separated where the dot is and then a bridging connection of the darker material, such that the led wouldn't be visible in the gap. This would require a sharp 180 turn of the led wire where the dot is, so there would likely be a minimum size of sign for which this would work.
Plagiarism at its finest
When the printhead goes all the way to the right and engages the lever on the right side of the printhead it's actually cutting off the end of the filament to release it from the hot end
I dont reccomend ludacrous mode on the a1 i have the mini and it can affect your prints if you aren't careful enough. Use the high speed plas because the work well at those really high speeds.
@@coltenbrant4493 High speed PLAs work by getting soft at lower temperatures, which makes them hard to cool (thus hard to get accurate prints) on machines with mediocre cooling. Turning up temperature 15-30° with regular PLA works a lot better due to rate of cooling being proportional to delta T.
What to do if the filament light is too long? can it be cut? Likewise if it is too short can you daisychain them?
Totally need to make a few of these for my daughter !! Thanks for sharing
Amazing project!! Nice job!!! Cheers!!!
For a parent, couldn't you design a lever switch moving the battery to on off positions. You could then enclose it all "snap together", that would be a little safer. Just a thought.
If when you say bristlebots you mean the company that has made a fortune selling them, then you are in error, they didn't inspire them, they stole the idea from a TH-camr.
To be correct, Evil Mad Science popularized the idea. They were not the first, with some early similar ideas being published in the 80s and other 'brush bots' being posted online before. They did coin the term Bristlebot, but never solid it as a product or even trademark the name. Hexbugs then turned the idea into a finished product sold in stores, but even then it was a similar idea not an exact clone.
@@Joshua-Zim close enough that if a patent existed they would have been in deep water.(time frame not withstanding).
@@etmax1 But it didn't, and never did. Hexbugs would have an issue due to a large volume of prior art existing on the market. Also a really tough thing to patent due to the simplicity.
guys help!! please 😢 does sombody knows how to make a boolean unification like in minute 1:19 but in freecad? 😭
Happened to have all the components on hand, so I just printed one and handed it to my partner. Who was delighted, so she put it on the wooden floor of our 1940 home to amuse the cat. And then the thing made a beeline for the gap under the sliding door to the library, which unbeknownst to me is open at the bottom to the air return heading towards the furnace. Panic ensued, obviously. I ended up using a giant magnet to hold it in place (thanks to the battery) so it didn't go deeper in. The magnet basically fought against the motor, so the battery drained in short order, which meant by the time we had partially disassembled the antique ductwork (wood beams and steel flashing), we couldn't really tell where it was. Got it out by means of lots of tools, and now I know I need to design a part to block things like cat toys from rolling (or vibrating) into the air return. Summary: great toy! 9/10. Do not recommend using near hidden holes in floor.
That's funny!
So fing done with the bamboo lab schills. I guarantee I'll never purchase or recommend bamboo products.

Back in 1981 they sold a battery-operated robot toy called VIBRO floating robot. th-cam.com/video/for1frgmO_0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1UMeJqollcJCch5D
Also, in the 1980's I did a DIY custom build of 40 vibrating robots called Vibra Tronic Shaky robot.
Cool, had no idea!
Thanks for this video. I am going to make some of these for my granddaughter.
Hope it goes well! Please maintain strict supervision if she is a young child.
Very Dangerous for small kids that they can ingest the battery.
Definitely agree. Anyone making these should keep these away from toddlers. Be safe everyone!
They didn’t build it they put it together , it is not a kit
🤨
Haha, but why... 😂
Brilliant idea...thanks!
Awesome work, dude! 😊 It could be a great coaster! Happy new year! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks for your hard work and dedication as a teacher! Are you aware of Reese's Law? Would hate for your noble efforts to be sullied by a liability lawsuit 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
Thanks for your kind words! Everyone should take extreme care and cautious making these, I agree completely. Please be safe and share responsibly!
I've been enjoying your content. I used your tutorial on the mini neon signs to make gifts for family this Christmas. They all turned out really well! I hope to see your channel grow and grow :)
You made my day! Love hearing great stories like this from the community. Happy everyone liked the gifts you made!
Wishing you much success as you endeavor to provide a better education for the youth. Liked and subscribed 😊
when it pushes on the side during the ams reload, it is not taking pressure off the extruder gear, it is cutting the filament with the filament cutter blade. that filament cutter blade needs to be replaced every once in a while.
Cheers, thanks for sharing! That's even cooler than what I thought it was doing. Love this machine!
Thank you! This is awesome on so many levels. From the Scooterbot to the easy to follow tutorials on Tinkercad and painting in Bambu Studio
😂😂😂
Im here to see the final version🎉
mega useful..🎉
This is illegal in some countries due to chocking hazard of the battery!
Party pooper !!!!
it is not about choking - it is swallowing. a button battery is extremely dangerous if swallowed - emergency department immediately level dangerous
Great Job, thanks
