Hello John, she’s a lovely locomotive isn’t she. I am privileged enough to be able to fire/stoke this beast at times, at her current home, when she’s not out visiting other railways. I hope you don’t mind me sharing some information about her to you. Though she looks very similar to a Prairie she actually doesn’t have a name to her class. The loco is just known as the 56XX Class, and has the nickname ‘Taffy Tank’ due to working in Wales. The biggest noticeable difference is the wheel layout, the 56XX is 0-6-2, the Prairie, large or small is 2-6-2.

Just a quick tip I love your video but I would follow the nameplate and the rods because then you can see the name of the loco and the motion of the valve gear

@@AlastairSo they are wonderful. They are a loco that run on a 15 gauge track. They are small and stand about 4-5 foot high. Depending on the angle they do Look full size. They are very similar to full size locomotive but just a little/lot smaller👍
