Create a color study with polymer clay
มุมมอง 428หลายเดือนก่อน
My Clay Box app currently has 500 Premo color recipes and 141 Souffle recipes. I recently decided to start working on adding more Souffle recipes and, being the nerd I am, I ended up developing this cutter set to help. I think it will be so interesting to try different color studies, and realized that some of you all might be interested too. I’ll post some of the color recipes that came out of ...

Once you chose the image do you have to size down or do you print the actual size of image you downloaded?. I just signed up for Canva so I have that program
It depends on the image. For patterns I simply print four copies on one page and fill the page as much as possible. Some images you have to resize for sure. I just use whatever free apps are on my computer, I have a Mac so use a combination of Preview, Sketchbook and Pages. Unless you pay for Canva you might have trouble printing high quality images from there

They are absolutely adorable! They are on my list.
So cute. ❤
Adorable 💜
Thank you 💕
Magnets are magnetic. They attract and repel each other. So put one on and let it dry, then the other and watch it or it will try to move to the other magnet.
lol, yes, except the first one on its own kept sliding. I think the epoxy is slippy and it needed to be level. Except then I found out that a metal craft knife was a bad idea 😂
@@ClayBoxSupplies yes metal craft knife not good with magnets!
Very pretty! & such a great idea for the pin holder!!! Love it!!
Thank you 🙏
Love this!
When I rub the transfer under the water, it smears. Any tips?
Hi there. You are using a laser printed transfer? Did you wash it straight away?
OMG you should really make more videos! Your pieces are incredibly clean and some of your techniques are ingeniously amazing! Thank you! (I need to buy some of your rollers!! 😍)
Oh that’s so kind of you to say. I’ll definitely be making more videos, just a bit slow, lol
Gorgeous work, thank you for sharing this
My pleasure 😊
Love these neon colors, thanks for great tutorial
Thank you! Cheers!
Super cute!! I'd totally wear these!!
Aww, thank you!
thank you for your video, can please tell me the varnish used, thank you
It’s Varathane. Here’s a link www.homedepot.ca/product/varathane-diamond-finish-premium-polyurethane-wood-finish-for-interior-water-based-in-satin-clear-3-78-l/1000111894
Lovely design, & colours. Can I buy the cutter /mould online? Thank you for sharing this technique..
Thank you ❤️. You can find links to all those items in the video description.
WOW 😳... Absolutely Beautiful ❣️
Thank you! 😊
I love this! I might even be able to do this one😊
Lol, yes, super easy
Love it❤❤❤
Thank you for a great tutorial and very precise instructions. It looks beautiful ❤
You are most welcome. Thank you for taking the time to comment, it’s much appreciated 🙏
I haven't done any mokume' gane' for ages, but this beautiful pattern & colours has inspired me to do some again. Thank you for sharing 😊
Yes I have found myself kind of paralyzed when coming to choose colors for mokume gane. In this version just one color is all you have to choose, lol
I so need this!!!!
I am really enjoying not having to search for my tools all the time
😍😍😍 precioso trabajo!! Gracias por compartir tu arte!! Un abrazo desde España!!🙏🏽🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌈🌈🌈
Oh, thank you, that’s so nice of you to say. Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦
For some reason I have no sound. Can you tell me if there is an odor to this varathane?
A lot of my videos have no sound, only captions. Maybe just the tiniest bit of odour but nothing bad
Have you tried UV resin on top? I have never tried Pan Pastels.
I haven't tried resin on top. You might find it loses the texture. Pan pastels are so fun, give them a try
this is gorgeous! love the stamps
Thank you 🙏
Hi From Australia I Absolutely Love Your Clay Machine And Is It Motorised And Is It A Modified One 💕💕💕💕
Hi there. Yes it is a modified one so I can easily take off the blades for cleaning. Here is a link www.edscolors.com I do have a marcato motor for it as well. It’s quite loud but fantastic if you are going to be doing a lot of mixing
Try using an acrylic block to push your stamps into the clay save your fingers and wrist…
Beautiful❤ Thank you for sharing 🤗 🫶🏻
lol I was like “Ooh this person orders the same cutters and rollers I have!” Then I realized who was posting 😅
lol, yes it’s me 👋
Very good tutorial, the reason the pan pastels are better than micA powders even though your results look the same they have a binder in them that helps them stick to each other as well as the clay so there’s no need for any varnish unless something heavily worn like a bracelet or a pendant or brooch that might rub against the inside of a coat. but for this project, they are perfect. And one other thing you might want to try with your small plastic cutters so they don’t stick get a sponge pour on a little armor.all which is a silicone liquid car interior protective it is a great release agent for stamps and cutters and doesn’t affect the clay and very little goes a long way
Thank you for the info. So do you think the pearlescent colors don’t have the binders in them then?
Cute! Thanks for pointing out that it's probably a good idea to add a hole or holes for some air to escape as it heats up inside the puffy part! I haven't made any yet but it's on my list of Cool Stuff to Try Soon. Of course by the time I do, I'm likely to forget about the holes. 😂
lol, as did I.
Very cute! I may have to make them! Thank you!!
Thank you for demonstrating these. Do you apply these BEFORE baking? Also, do you have to seal them? If so, with what? Thank you! ❤
Hi there. Yes, before baking. Check out this previous video for all that info Using pan pastels on polymer clay th-cam.com/video/4kvHYUrT7ws/w-d-xo.html
Would like to see the pearls on white clay.
For sure, I’ll do a short video of that. I think they just don’t show up much at all. Stay tuned!
Thank you for the suggestion. I do like them better in white. Check out the video th-cam.com/video/BKvvZ7bbscY/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for reviewing these. It's very useful since I was thinking about buying some.
Glad it was helpful!
How lovely👌🏻 thank you for sharing🫶🏻🌼
Thanks for watching!
So beautiful! What kind of varnish do you use?
Thank you. That is Varathane. Here is a good article about varnish thebluebottletree.com/polymer-clay-sealers-glazes-and-varnishes/
Very nice. Have to try this.
Merci pour ce partage très inspirant 😍 Très jolies création et couleurs ❤ J'adore le résultat 😍
Thank you, so kind of you to say. 💕
Gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊
Can’t wait to try!
Thanks for the info. My main problem is the transfers don’t look as vibrant as the originals? In fact, sometimes the colors actually change between the finished polymer piece and the original print. I use office max laser printers and smartsolve paper. What do you think? Thanks
A couple of thoughts. I think fresher, stickier clay helps the image stick well, as well as washing off any leftover paper after baking. I bought a Canon image class laser so I can adjust the color density and they come out quite vibrant. Not sure if you can adjust that on yours? I have not had any noticeable color changes after baking but it’s impossible to know what pigments/plastics are in each laser toner color. Red color paint for example is common to change color with baking.
@@ClayBoxSupplies thank you! I guess your printer was expensive. I think my clay might have been a little old because I’ve never seen premo so crumbly. ❤️
Love the swirly colors!
My favorite mix is with pomegranate. A little translucent makes it so pretty!
Ooh yes I love that color. I’ll give that a go thank you
Nice video. I’d really like to see how u make your flower bowls! They r very cute!
Oh thank you. Here is my playlist of trinket dish tutorials. Let me know if there is anything you’d like to see that’s not in this list th-cam.com/play/PLAYFn92BPqG-QoR3q_R1KTuBKu5QFl1Cv.html&si=2G52l3f9edBTEVtQ
