Average rider looking for speed and some airtime!
Riding some Loam on the Hardtail
Great day out on the trails outside of Talent, Oregon on Wagner Butte. The trails are tight and full of wood features and loam. #hardtails #mtb #loam #singletrack

And people go through all the trouble of putting road bike levers on their MTB.
Hey I’m unable find info from surly or anywhere but for the up right flat bar position am I able to a normal bike grip there instead of tape? I have to have very ergo grips to not get pain
@big_bird8597 I actually cut down an old pnw grip an just put electrical tap over it.
Do you worry about hooking a tree ?
It hasn't happened yet. If it ever does, I'll probably think about on rides.
bros living up to the name!
crazy video wish i could shred like that
crazy content! dude deserves love
this guys needs more subs deserves it fr!
dudes a crazy rider!
Nice video! Do you prefer the corner bar over a flat bar? I'm considering getting the corner bar for my hardtail
@@BDubb720 I really did like the cornerbar. The bike I put them on was a size large (my correct size) I have now since taken them off due to back pain. I'm gonna install them on a medium size retro mtb next and see how they feel. They're super comfortable with all the different hand positions though!
@trailshredz6631 thank you for your response! Did the corner bar cause the backpain? Or was it something else?
@@BDubb720 I'd say It was the frame size. Riding long distance is when it affected me. Bombing trails down hill was a blast with them. That's why I'm going to put them on a frame a bit smaller. Really it was the longer and lower reach. I'll have more videos once I find a better fit frame.
@@trailshredz6631 ok sounds good. Hope you find the ideal bike. 👍 Thanks for letting me know
How did you get it to not chase and attack wheels 😂 i cant stop mine
@@DurzoBlunts ran her over once. She stays away from the wheels now🤣🤣🤣
Good stuff man
Why’d ya fall?
Had to make a business decision 😅
What'up~that is outstanding . farewell- 🤙
Bud is your GoPro from McDonald’s 😂
Right? I have no idea what was going on with it. Went riding the next day and all the footage was smooth.
That’s a long jump
Keep
Just switched back to the flatbar setup. Getting ready for a XC race.
Do you think XC race would be more difficult with the corner bar?
@@ukaszwyczokowski9768 no but I was getting some back pain from them. Probably not by any fault of the corner bar, just a bad fit for the bike.
@@trailshredz6631I think the problem with most MTB users is that they are using a large frame with a short stem and flat bar. Since you cannot shorten your frame or stem (if it is already super short) you need to switch to a smaller frame for a good bike fit. The reason is the long reach that comes with the hand positions. I compared the "hoods" position with my former drop bar and it is 5cm vs. 10cm. However for a flat bar user that is still 5cm increased reach, which might be too much for your shoulders.
Lemons into lemonade, my friend! Hahahahahahs
Ik we all felt that.
I always ask if they want to play any reign deer games... so far we have just played chase
Nice...! Ka Adventure😊
Хороший руль , классная альтернатива гравийномй велосипеду за разумные деньги, мтб и псевдо баран руль. Видно тенденцию производителей гравийников в комфортном направлении в установке амортизационной вилки в гравел.
I wish we had something like that!
Very good riding

Flying!
yes cool
What’s the spec of your stem? Nice setup
Awesome!
So far I'm climbing faster on the Corner Bar (I have the Alliexpress version) for my Flatbar gravel Bike. I also spend time on the tops while climbing. My bars are 42 cm at the hoods, which is 4 cm narrower than what Surly offers. Perhaps that's why I prefer the bars I have installed?
Do you ride on the hoods properly climbing? Ali express have longer horns?
@@adambrickley1119 my comment has since aged, my setup has changed (36 cm with the longer hoods like you mentioned). I'm still able to ride 20+ mph for 25 miles without drafting.
@@abfutrell would you say the corner bars with extended horns are better for climbing than standard xc bars with a long stem?
@@adambrickley1119 that I'm not sure. I do know I climbed better with SQLab Inner Barends + 120mm Stem +/-7 degrees. I needed a drop position to ride safely with A Group Roadies, which is why I switched to the Corner Bar.
@@adambrickley1119 just know I am an Adaptive Cyclist, so my solution may contradict your specific needs.
What did you use for the caps on the hoods?

With AOT gear! Nice!
You can cut 30 seconds off that trail easy! You were flying but a few more times and you will have KOM!
You were brave stopping on that wooden drop - I would be worried about sliding off the end!!
I actually did slid a bit! Definitely would of been toast if I went over.
That was so slick! Scary!
