Nicole describes herself as a recovering workaholic and forever high performer. She’s a classically-trained pastry chef, perpetual learner and dedicated mentor, as well as a mom of two boys (and an Australian Cattle Dog), living in Miami, FL. Nicole has a BA and MA from the University of Chicago and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University and is currently an Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Miami.

Turn Hidden Talents Into Extraordinary Advantage

    Thought practices and meditations to hel with this?

    • @michaelgardon
      @michaelgardon 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The thought exercise is a form of meditation, but beyond that what I do in my practice is connect to my future self. For at least 15 minutes each day I visualize a future version of myself (say 5 years out). I try to feel what he feels, and do what he does. This helps me think beyond the short term rat race and helps me prioritize my long term thinking.

    Why recommend ZipRecruiter? They claim they use AI to recommend and calculate job match scores based on your resume however there is no way that is correct. I am not yet finished with my degree AND have ZERO health care experience and clearly no halthcare certifications as a result. Yet the ONLY "good match" and "great match" listings ZipRecruiter provided me are jobs that: a. require a bachelor's, master's or doctorate degree b. are certification required or doctorate level healthcare c. All of the above. Complete waste of time! I contacted support, TWICE, who was far less helpful than if I had requested assistance from a brick wall.

      IMO your ability to adapt, change, and be multi-dimensional are the keys to finding success early. Truth is we don't know what the future holds, so working on "meta" skills that you can take with you and learning how to creativly problem solve are huge pieces of the success puzzle that no one can take from you. Here's a list of books I keep: www.michaelgardon.com/recommended-reading
