I am a roofer and guess what I'm putting on my own house? 30# felt paper. Seen issues with synthetic and i know felt paper works 100% if installed properly. BTW, synthetic is cheaper than felt paper, so why do so many say the opposite? Even cheaper than 15# felt here.
Has any synthetic underlayment been on a roof for 30 years to see how it preformed with age
Hasn't been around that long. It's why I find it funny how so many declare it as superior. Only time will tell. I do know felt paper works and has a 125 year track record.

What do you think that the synthetic is going to look like in 20 years after being baked under the shingles.? Same thing. Probably worse. Dust and a million pieces.
damn near a year you made this comment about synthetic felt .. I've heard the same thing about the synthetic drying up and baking...I'm in Texas but this stuff is still new ..and not enough time has passed to see if this new tech will hold up,,,i dont like the 10 sq roll ...do a 22 sq roof and you have to buy 3 rolls....

You dont know what your doing get off the roof .....torch on rolls are not aloud to line up
