Bally Mountain Hike - Gold Coast Hinterland QLD
Bally Mountain, Bally Mountain Conservation Area, Bonogin, QLD, Australia.
We started the hike at the parking area on Bonogin Road and followed the trail for 1km until we reached the creek crossing. After that it's a decently steep track with uneven, rocky ground. There's a rock scramble to the summit, very similar to Mount Cougal. The first views to the south showcase Mount Cougal, the Springbrook Pinnacle (Warrie Circuit) and in the distance, Wollumbin / Mt Warning. Continue on to reach the top with views of the Gold Coast and surrounds. Even though it's steep, this hike is only 6km, so it's well worth it.

Camping at Mount French - Moogerah Peaks NP QLD
มุมมอง 4623 ปีที่แล้ว
Frog Buttress Campground, Mount French, Moogerah Peaks National Park, QLD, Australia. Mount French is just over an hour from Brisbane and has one of the most accessible camping spots. Our first overnight hike! Northbrook Mountain Remote Bush Camp
มุมมอง 8283 ปีที่แล้ว
Northbrook Mountain Remote Bush Camp, Mount Glorious section, D'Aguilar National Park, QLD, Australia. We completed our first overnight remote camp a couple of weeks ago. The 5km track along Lawton Rd is easy to follow, but a bit steep towards the end. The birds are very vocal almost the entire way. At sunrise we took a short walk up to the summit. The camp itself is in a nice, quiet spot. Only...

Mount Cougal Hike - Springbrook National Park QLD
มุมมอง 1.1K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Mount Cougal, Springbrook National Park, QLD, Australia. We started the hike at the end of Garden of Eden Road and followed the trail along the QLD/NSW border. Stick to the fence as it's private property on either side up until you see the sign for the national park. A fair amount of the track is overgrown, but someone has recently cleared part of the track. The rainforest section was very peac...
Warrie Circuit and Pinnacle Hike - Springbrook QLD
มุมมอง 8283 ปีที่แล้ว
Warrie Circuit, Springbrook National Park, QLD, Australia. Warrie Circuit is a stunning hike with plenty of waterfalls. The track to the pinnacle is slightly overgrown and easy to take a wrong turn. If you're afraid of heights, then the scramble to the top is probably not for you. Overall we hiked around 17kms. There were lots of birds, but we missed seeing any snakes or lizards. 0:00 Canyon Lo...

Piper Comanche Plane Wreck - Mount Glorious QLD

Mount Glorious section, D'Aguilar National Park, QLD, Australia. We ventured off after sunrise to find the Piper Comanche wreck. The plane crashed on the 2nd of March 1977. Sadly, the pilot lost his life. Getting to the wreck was a nice, quiet hike with only a bit of steepness close to the wreckage. Unfortunately, we could not find the accident investigation report. That's funny. I was thinking "lots of tripod shots", so the end montage was great. Loved the drone shots too.
I’m planning on doing these tomorrow and found your video. Thank you.
How long was this hike looks awesome! Nice video 🔥💯
Thanks! It was just over 11km and took us a bit over 3hrs including having a break at the top.
Nice to listen to the birds
Really pretty hike !
Great video!
Thanks , this is exactly what I was looking for x.
Hi there, do you know if there are leeches here when it rains please?
Nice vid, very clear images a video. Here is my vid from Cougal Cascases th-cam.com/video/cdic-lWOVss/w-d-xo.html
Hey guys, just wondering how long it took you to get from Lawton road to the camp. Thanks
AMAZING place! ❤🙂
Is a hard trail? Did you need a navigation map and stuff?
It's pretty easy to follow. It's 4x4 track most of the way. A map or something like alltrails on your phone is still recommended.
Oh you've traveled to my backyard =).. I love Bally, the view is amazing..you can see all the way to the ocean on a clear day... if you continued on past the sign that said "track closed" you would have gone through this little cave and walked along a cool little ridge line with Gold Coast views all the way across (the old loop track). Also on SW side Bally has these awesome rock formation.I have a video on my Channel ..I highly recommend visiting that side next time.
Yeah the views were really nice, thanks for recommending it! Yeah I saw your video on the rocks, they look awesome, but I wasn't sure how to get to it.
@@aussiehiking1274 there was a wikiloc of the route but the author removed it now, you start from Dove rd to get to the SW side.
@@tofuhiker Ah ok. Yeah, sounds like a bit of an adventure.
Excellent videography guys! So pleasant and relaxing to soak up :-) thank you sincerely for your inspiration in making and posting your adventures! Truly God's country up there... and if you were ever feeling super-adventurous maybe you would consider going fully off-track, by navigating from Mt Cougal summit down the northern side, passing the upper reaches of Currumbin gorge through to upper Mt Cougal Ck, and thereby to Tellebudgera Valley, ascending Springbrook plateau via the Cream Track, going across the plateau and down into Numinbah Valley, up to Binna Burra and through to Lamington National Park, and beyond, potentially all the way to Mt Nothofagus via Lost World - truly an epical Great Walk! Love your work guys!!
Thank you! It really is something else when you're up there. That sounds like an intense hiking trip. We wouldn't mind one day doing along the border from Binna Burra to Christmas creek. Might be a while before we attempt that 🙂
Great hiking videos
Awesome views. 😃
Thanks, it's pretty nice out there. The sunrise was amazing.
Im going , thanks for sharing !
No problem 😃 Enjoy the hike!
I drove out to white rock today only for it to be closed due to back burning =(, so I did Blaine and Flinders since I was out that way.
I'll have to check out your video!
Great videos!!!
Thanks, glad you like them!
3:16 - Leionema gracile - Mt Greville phebalium. Vulnerable status, endemic to the Moogerah Peaks district.
Interesting to know, thanks. Had no idea what it was called.
Happy bday btw!
Thank you 🙂
Nice stuff! How have I done Warrie Circuit three times now and never knew about The Pinnacle?! Time to make it a 4th time, I'm due to make a video myself anyway :D
Thanks! Haha yeah it's off the main track, so you wouldn't really know it's there unless you heard about it. It's a bit tricky to make it to the top, but the views are awesome. Good luck!
@@aussiehiking1274 camped out at the pinnacle. Breathtaking views to wake up to
@@ned2315 I can imagine! 😃
Great video. My gf and I are going there tomorrow. How long did it take for you guys?
Thanks, it's around 3-4 hours. Can be done quicker if you are super speedy haha.
Mate. So beautiful a vid! Well and truly awesome! Where did you start? Any slippery creek crossing? We walked West Canungra a few weeks ago and it was slippery. Great video in all honesty. We'll do this walk for sure. Thanks heaps!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! We started at the upper Binna Burra section at the end of Binna Burra rd. We didn't have any troubles with the creek crossings as it hadn't rained in a while. If you go after rain though, it would be slippery. Haven't hiked West Canungra or any of the hikes in that section. It's on the list though 😀
Great Video, looks like this hike has great views but then I googled it, the distance is 370km away from my house and 5 hours drive =(...
Thanks, yes the views are fantastic! It's also a really fun hike with the scrambling. Yeah. . . it's pretty far away from the Brisbane area. We have family on the Fraser Coast, so it was on our way there. Definitely check it out if you're ever up that way 😁
Love your channel man. I have seen all your videos
Thanks a bunch! Glad you enjoy it 😁 we'll have a new one up soon.
Is this track easy to loose? Any recommendations for someone doing it by them selves?
We had the alltrails app up to help us out. The first turn off is only 30 metres from the carpark - it's a little hidden. There's a fork part way in and you need to take the right - there was a tree over the track there when we went. There's a pile of rocks for the turn off to the wreck and then there's pink tape most of the way. I'd recommend taking some sort of gps. Good luck!
Beautiful hike!
Thanks, it's nice once you get past the overgrown sections 🙂
@@aussiehiking1274 I bet! We really enjoy making outdoor videos also
That looks awesome, great video. Definitely have that on the list to do sometime soon hopefully. Not sure I could squeeze through that cave though lol.
Thanks! Yeah, definitely do it. Haha it was a bit of a squeeze. Thankfully I didn't see any spiders in there.
@@aussiehiking1274 did you see the bats in there? Doing Laidley creek falls and maybe hole in the wall if we can fight our way through the weeds and don't get cut up to much from the barbed wire vines. So hopefully have a new video up of that next week sometime.
@@chuzeychuze9905 Nah, we didn't see any. The wind was pretty strong in there. Awesome! Hope it's not too overgrown. We're keen to see what the hike is like.
Very restful. Very enjoyable. Thank you. 😃
Thanks! Glad you like it 🙂
Awesome.
How good is it down there. We did it just after all the rain around Christmas.
It was wonderful. We were buggered by the end, but it was well worth.
@@aussiehiking1274 yeah it takes it out of you more than you realise.
That's unreal. Love it
Best video yet! So beautiful
Thank you! It really is a nice area :)
How amazing is it in that section. We did Araucaria falls, Sylvester's lookout and Mt Castle lookout while up there. Really want to go back and explore the area more, so many great trails to do and beautiful scenery.
It really is nice out there. We wanted to check those out, but the road had too much water for our car to pass and we weren't keen to walk the entire way haha.
@@aussiehiking1274 yeah it's a long way up there if you walk. Right at the end at Mt Castle there's a walk to The Winder that's 6km. We didn't do that one either but we want to go back and do the trail to Laidley creek falls bush camp that's goes from Sylvester's lookout.
@@chuzeychuze9905 That one looks tough, but the views would be amazing. Would love to see you film that!
@@aussiehiking1274 yeah I will for sure but will be a while before we go back for it, too cold up there now lol. Planning a few other places that aren't on the popular list of other people.
@@chuzeychuze9905 Looking forward to seeing them :)
Another great hike.
Great footage
Thank you!
How many hours did it take to get to the top? Thinking of going this Sunday with my troops.
Hey :) can take around 3-4 hours return.
Hello, Is there a route to the upper portion of lovers falls? I really want to do this :)
Hey :) yeah there is. There's a steep track to the right of the base. There's a section that requires some caution, but it's simple enough to follow.
Thank you. What a great video. I love this place and this is a great reminder of the magi this place has to offer.
Thank you! It really was a wonderful hike. The top was amazing.
I love this! So many good shots of the water falls ❤️
Awesome!
Some amazing shots in this one
This was my favourite video ever
Great video! Very relaxing to watch. Keep up the great work (:
Thank you! :)
Hey, great video of your hike! Love the shots you did. Great job!
Thank you! Glad you liked it.
Was that cave formed naturally?
I haven't been able to find much information on the area, so not sure. Would be interesting to find out.
watch 3:47, there is a cave, i wonder what it is like to access it
I wonder if anyone has. I assume you'd need climbing gear to reach that. Have you been to the secret cave? We didn't go to it on this trip, but have been there before. I forget the entrance, but pretty sure it's near the rock scramble area.
@@aussiehiking1274 @ 2:17 the trail to the caves is there, just after the tree on the right looking down.
@@tofuhiker I had a feeling it was somewhere near there haha thanks :)
They are the Northern caves, I've been there no rope needed, I've done a poorly edited (before gopro) video of my hike.
@@tofuhiker Was it hard to get to?
bloody beautiful video, i will have to do a guest appearance one time :)
When we do Tibro!
nice video :) planning on tackling these both this weekend
Thanks! That's awesome. Hope you enjoy them. Prepare yourself for how painful Mt Blaine can be on the thighs though. Very steep.
