Always want to shoot a video like this. I made the video by myself, felt lonely lol. Hope you enjoy and any feedback is appreciated. Music by The Unseen - Scream Out

Angeles Shooting Range with my Remington 700

I thought I take out the my Remington model 700 bolt action rifle. It's been in the safe for awhile being neglected. I miss my rifle. Yet it hates me for feeding American Eagle 150gr bullets instead of the regular Sierra Match 168gr. bullets.

This is my first edit video, so go easy on the comments. I wanted to test out my new little Olympus EP-L1's video capabilities. Not bad in my opinion. It is better than lugging my 5DmkII around for videos. And also test out a heavier buffer spring on the rifle as well as a new buffer. My CMMG rifle has seen better days.
Was there any modifications needed to get that barrel to work with that lower ? Thanks for sharing
Yeah... slow motion you firing it and then hyper speed the informative part of the video. Hahah...
could u post in regular speed? My slow brain can't follow the fast forward speed...
Why not just say "Mark" 8?
Looks like HK G3 mags
Hey this is the shooting range just behind my house!
Didn't know range was still open I worked at Angeles 1967 & 68 before going into military, very cool was a blast working and shooting there especially after hours
gay ass music
Mk8? Do yours. The mk3? I'm not aware of an mk8 model.
Great vid you can even see the bullet arching as it travels to the target.
Nice video. How do you like angeles shooting range? Never been but Im thinking of trying it out.
How about an indepth report and review of the rifle?
Awesome vid, Great shooting!
Nah, why would it be bad? Of all my rifles, only one is collapsible.
Yes, the rifle is heavy enough keep recoil from moving the rifle. It weights in at 15lbs.
Thanks Bud! CGN ROCKS!
Is it bad if I find that stock wayy more sexy than the collapsible ones? Beautiful Rifle .
were you able to see the target being hit with your scope at that distance ?
great vid! calguns FTW
yer i dont care if you guyz have guns cuz i have a full wall of them
Nice!
BTW, for those who don't know, the 2 hanging gongs are tough to hit! Good shot!!!
Yes, the iron targets are set up at certain distances. Angeles have two two public shooting sides. The right side is for pistols calibers as well as the far right side has 100 yards irons and two shotgun clay throwers. The left side of the range has iron targets set up from 200-600 yards. That is the best range in So.Cal IMO.
Thank You, and yes, I just put a camera in front of an inexpensive Tasco spotting scope. I used a Olympus Pen digital camera to record the footage :D
Are the targets on the Angeles rifle range already set up for everyone to use? or do you have to place your own targets yourself? When I get my M1A, I plan on going to this firing range :)
Nice!!
@dh3790 Yeah, my buddy has a AAC 700. The thing shoots well. And yes, my 700 you see in this video is a SPS. Well, since you have a AAC 700, you mind as well go with a AAC brake :D
@dh3790 Hi and sorry about the late response. This 700 started out as a SPS Varmint. I first replaced the stock and DBM system from HS Precision. Then the barrel was cut to 22" and threaded muzzle for a Vais brake. The bolt knob is be Badger and makes speed loading easier. After 1500+ shoots, I am surprise to see a nice and shiny bore.
@haupper Yup, I know the feeling about the spotter. You can tell shooting a video of your shoots. That why, the video will become your spotter haha
@treepog Thank You
Nice. What spotting scope are you using? Did you just put your camera lens in front of your spotting scope?
Also, I guess I didnt pay very close attention to see that it is an SPS. I have an SPS Tac AAC (20" and 1-10 twist) and was considering a muzzle brake for it.
What model 700 is that? Is that a Badger DBM kit? What other things have you done besides the bolt knob and muzzle brake?
@Boeing727223 Thank You :D
That is one sweet piece!
@Capita159 Thanks, cool video too. I was at Angeles yesterday with my 30-30. It's fun hitting the 200 yard dingers, didn't have much luck with the 300 yard ones. Having a spotter might have helped. Great scope lens cap, ha.
@haupper Yes, CMMG MK-8 lower receiver doesn't have a bolt catch level. I think it is due to the upper being too wide for taking HK G3 magazines. I should do a review video on this rifle, because there are flaws on the lower and upper receivers.
I notice the action didn't lock back on the last round. Normal?
@hollowpoint559 Thank You
