I'm sorry but does anyone else actually understand this scene?! From 2.02 onwards this scene has me losing my mind It perfectly explained me with my desired. Im shamefully in spike position but whereas he is lucky Buffy cared about him..... My desired doesn't feel the same😂😂😂😂😂

N I keep rewinding it to 2.19 And having to calm a panic attack. It's so well written. Well acted by James Marsters. Music was well played. They should of done Buffy soundtrack from this scene so I can mouth the words to myself and imagine

Hypothetically, if S1 Buffy met S7 Spike instead of Angel, does she fall just as quickly and passionately for Spike?

I always wondered why Spike couldn't have just tried to look up the curse that gave Angel back his soul, instead of going on his own unique mission to get his restored. And to be honest, I still wonder that, and still feel like the show kind of shrank away from explaining that question away. But I suppose that if Spike HAD just opted to get cursed in the same way that Angel had been, he would have lost his soul again in this episode. So, I guess it's just as well that Spike went and found a more fullproof way of getting his soul back. Even though it might have been interesting to see him lose it again, since Spike had allegedly fallen in love with Buffy and developed some capacity for human emotion again before getting his soul restored. But I guess that would have just burdened an already overburdened season with more plot threads to deal with.

Then I'm back here again🙄🙄🙄😳😳😳 To feel spike say 'it was the best night of my life' Share how he said he feels terrified And how he questioned if she was there with him 😩😩😩 Buffy didn't deserve him nor love him and it irritates me no end that she didn't stay with him at the the end.

The music in this scene shows alot too. The way it builds up as buffy says yes she was there with him. It keeps building making us anticipate if she going to confess her love, then she asks “does it have to mean something” ,the music falls leaving us with just a still note in backround as they both brush past what they feel for each other. When the music comes back its sad and sentimental, it has that feeling you get when something isn’t finished and you know it never will be. This scene warmed my heart but it broke it too :(

Their scenes are the best thing in season seven.

She was not understanding how he felt for her. Hecwanted from her whstcshe couldn't hive him. He was romantically in love with her she did not seem on the same level he was. It was sad to watch.

Spike is problematic because he TRIED to force himself onto her. YES he didnt have a soul BUT he still tried to do an unforgiveable thing. However i love Masters and Gellers chemistry more than I did with Boreanaz and Geller. Due to not being cursed Spike was as rebelious and full of a lust for "unlife" as Buffy while Angel was always in that dark mood of suffering.

Would love to hear what she was about to say when he cut her off. "I don't know how you feel about last night, BUT I WILL NOT..." A world of possibilities.

I have watched the Buffy series countless times. And I have come to the conclusion that Buffy and Spike were really like an old married couple. Almost from the beginning they had each other's back when they weren't even trying to have each other's back. Way back when Spike helped Buffy defeat Angelus and Dru. This love story was "brought along" geniusly. And it was beautiful. It was sexy. It was funny. It was heart wrenching. It IS timeless. I miss Buffy and Spike. Somebody needs to find a way to bring these two back together. My brother suggested they start the "Watcher's Counsel" back up, with the Scooby gang running it. And they should go around the world exposing and killing monsters and vampires. Because NOW vampires have "infiltrated" the highest forms of government and affluent society through their NOT YET KNOWN, new found ability to move about during the day.

I hate that they never really kissed in season 7. It didn't have to be much, but there were so many times when there could have been a small chaste kiss that would have better solidified their relationship for the audience.

I think the part of Spike the he was terrified was the damages that he cause to Buffy and those around her and that he tried to rape her.

I always loved and hated this seen, it’s when spike said and what does that mean, and she asked him does it have to mean anything. If he had said yes things would have changed. She even said after meaning that she wanted it to mean something and he said no. Breaks my heart even watching it now. Beautiful scene stunning performance by smg and jm 🧡

Spike and Buffy’s love theme is so beautiful and seriously under appreciated. I love instrumentals and sorry I don’t get goosebumps listening to Angel/Buffy’s theme like this melody. And no it’s not cause I’m a Spuffy shipper. Just hits better ❤
