You mention Bro Peter’s sermon on worry; well I did hear it! My church service was cancelled due to weather, so I watched. It was a great sermon. Switching gears, I can’t believe Logan and Pat didn’t get the joke! Looking forward to watching this again and seeing their confused expressions. A great study but a lot of information. I’m going to listen to this one again and write down all of the referenced verses. Maybe it’s age, but writing helps me retain. Sorry for the long post, but I have one more thing. I do criticize both parties, but it isn’t equal because the Dems are sooo much worse!

I was cold just watching y’all!! I believe in pretribulation rapture so I’ve told myself I won’t have to worry about tribulation, but I know I could be wrong about pre tribulation, so I can’t really lean on that. I am old now, so I will probably die before this happens, but then again it could be in process right now. The only thing we can control is ourselves so we need to fill ourselves with God’s word; let Him fill us up until there is no room for fear or doubts. I say that, but I am an obsessive worrier, so it is easier said than done.

This was the most shocking cult for me. Maybe because I watched as the events unfolded on the news and shortly after, there was a tv miniseries that did a good job of showing the horror. I never saw Powers Booth, who played Jim Jones, in another role that I didn’t think of Jim jones. You would think people would learn from what has happened in the past, but it just seems like a lot of people want something more than that “old time religion”. Look at Hillsong.

There is a jw building (not gonna call it a church!!) in Millington that had umpteen construction personnel, building materials, and construction equipment on site for most of a year. When they cleared out, the building and car park area were exactly the same. We joke about them enjoying their new bunker. That was way way too much stuff for just redecorating! They had to have made some subterranean space. Very odd!

The “no windows” in their buildings is a huge red flag in my book 😳RUN

I remember when I first watched the Waco miniseries. It seemed so anti-government, I had to read about it because I didn’t believe Waco or Ruby Ridge could have happened the way it was depicted, but it did. They were mis-guided people but there is no acceptable excuse for what happened to them. When Bro Peter was talking about David’s childhood, I thought about how the people around him failed him. A little love and kindness could go along way with some of these unfortunate souls that look for acceptance in cults.

My first thought was maybe the child did have a vision. Why would he make it up and devote so much time to it? Then it just got ridiculous and became so self serving.
