A restore that I fixed after a "tech" gave it a thumbs up saying, "everything was working great". I then proceed to actually fix the botched job, new filter caps, correct tubes installed, 3 way AC wiring, slight mod to the schematic, etc. Also a tribute to Sugar "the Dog" Jones (RIP). No flesh and blood humans or animals were hurt, AI was studiously avoided at all times. Let's please get back t...

Why isn’t there a hum? It’s not grounded
@@Daniel-m4u2y it's grounded internally
Hi, I have a MP3 , when you installed the aqau light strip did you just connect it to where the original was connected and it worked or did you need to modify the ac voltage from the amp to make the new strip work ? , thank you! .
@@MatthewKellyDrone Hey, thanks for watching, to answer your question it just worked.
This is unironically better than the current 3 tone sunburst on Fenders American Professional II

Thanks. She's the best I've ever known.
So you don't think it's a good deal to pay more for someone else at the custom shop to beat up your guitar for you? 😀
Nahhhhh I'm a self-starter, I like to beat things up myself
Thanks I will have to try that tunning
Make sure you try it upside down or it doesn't work very well
What a score!
I spotted that classic tone sucking network...
good eyes!
@@L.A.of-The-family-Jones I have a 1968 Falcon that's seems to very similar in the tube lineup and looks. That flashing light that works inaccord with tremolo is awesome, very cool amp!

Absolutely awesome have a wonderful day ❤😊

I can arrange that
I would have happily just given him twenty bucks in 74', which would be like $130 today
I'm a die hard yankee
@@L.A.of-The-family-Jones don't know what difference that makes, or even what it's supposed to mean
and you believe its ethical to screw someone like that?
Shut up
My 1962 SG Special - perfect condition with original case cost £225 ($280) from a shop in 1976. Guitars weren't stupid expensive then.
If you find a Picasso at a rummage sale, you're not going to buy it?
What in hell ailes you?
That's life, stop making judgements on people expecting them to be Ghandi or something. I brought a £500 guitar for £5... do you know how much sleep I lost over that?.... ZERO😂
You sly bastard! 🤣 I’m not mad at you! I’m holding out hope that one day, I’ll find a ‘59 Les Paul at some old widow’s garage sale for $50!
Stingy bastad.
Do you want to double your money?
No, I'm not really a fan of federal reserve notes. I prefer the barter system.
That back looks different from my LG2...early 50s.
Bro should hv paid his asking price
Why?
Fortune favors the brave, and the right place and right time. God blessed you that day, sir! Dunnae ever forget it!!!
nice guitar, anyways you are one son of a you know your mothers nature..for shorting the guy off 5 lousy bucks. even in 74
A gem to say the least. The LG-1 had straight (transverse) bracing, while the LG-2 and LG-3 had x-bracing. In most cases, x-bracing will give you a better sound. The straight bracing is often found in cheaper instruments, i.e, Stellas, Kalamazoos, and can sound quite good for slide and blues playing. Reverb has a used one as well priced at $9,998.
So I guess I got a bargain at 10 bucks?
@@L.A.of-The-family-Jones more like a blessing!!!
The BLUES !
Wow..!! I love Flying V Also your grrat idea on it👍 Really like it when ya bend like a A.K. 💛
Thanks!
that's a very interesting topic for me! I wanna try this tuning when I feel like it.
Make sure the strings are strung upside down
@@L.A.of-The-family-Jones I always do it that way. thanks!
For me, it's the way he bends those notes, for me, the magic is in the bending and sliding
Without the tuning in the Strings being upside down, it's quite a bit harder to get that exact phrasing and sound
Awesome I love it!!!!
thank you good sir!
SRV and Albert video has passing note where Albert warns anyone trying to figure out his tuning....not a man to be trifled with. Good luck.
He gave it to me
Hey, that was cool. Quick little note. When I was in the fifth grade in Forrest City, Arkansas. A friend and myself heard some music in the civic center and a band was warming for a dance that night. Well, I'd been playing guitar since I was five years old so I went inside to check it out and there was this big olé man up on the stage playing a Gibson flying "V" upside down; so. I go up to the stage and tell the guy "Man I play guitar" he goes get on up here son. I get up on the stage and take the guy's guitar and turned it over and started playing the old song "GLORIA" and band started playing along. Well after that he took us out to the car and gave us some album and signed them. Well , the guy was Albert king himself!! He was one of the nicest people you could meet. So, I just love me some Albert King!!
Cool story bro
It sounds great ! 🔥🤟💕
Thanks!!
Being a lefty myself, I'm sure that's a dream guitar!
