I miss my hometown past 13 years now since I leave 2011 my ma and I go back Pintuyan Southern Leyte my Lolo was stroke due to lack space home my parents decided go back Pintuyan Southern Leyte but Lolo passaway in April 2011 due to stroke. But now I'm miss my hometown but thanks for the bring back my memory since teenage 19..

Kon way kuwarta, puzo na lang sa balay. A personal anecdote, In my late 30s, in Riyadh, KSA, in 1990, when personal computers were still "rare" among the general public: I was working at the Computer Data Center of Sauditel, KSA government's telephone/telecommunication entity. A Canadian in his early 50s, also a Sauditel employee, happened to talk to me in the office. Then, when I said I was from Cebu, he joyfully stated: "Oh, I was in Mactan 5 years ago. I did island hopping. I paid USD200 to a man who operated an island-hopping (pump)boat, and the payment was for a tour package that included foods with a whole lechon. Very cheap!" He added: "Have you gone island hopping?" I replied" "No, I cannot afford it." So, he was in Mactan in 1985. At that time, after a 2-yr working stint as an engineering instructor in Cebu City, I was working at a Cebu copper mining company’s computer department (btw, in 1980, there were only 3 computers in Cebu: the other 2 were in SMC and City Hall). My monthly salary was P2000. 1USD was P18. USD200=P3600. Or about 2 my months’ salary. The Canadian was quick to reply: “Oh, yes, that’s understandable. Even in Canada, not all Canadians can tour to Niagara Falls.” I just smiled, thinking that he had the money which I did not have. We worked for the same Saudi company, and we had similar technical expertise. Yet, when I got a monthly salary of $1400, he got $7K. Whites (Americans, Canadians, Australians, British) got 5x as Pinoys did in my company, for the same job. Racial discrimination. Well, that’s it. Island HOPING is all I can afford, even now. HOPE is a virtue, anyway. Puzo na lang sa balay kay wa zamoy kwarta.

I'm here in the USA (for along time and planning to retire back to Cebu) but I feel like it's me driving around Cebu just by watching all your videos!!! I'm sure there are plenty of OFWs are grateful and who feel the same... It's kind of sad that you're leaving Cebu and there won't be anymore new Cebu videos from your channel. JPark Island Mactan Resort is not owned and was never owned by any of the Gaisano groups. During its few years of operation since its opening in 2009 until 2015, the resort was jointly owned by Korean businessman and Justin Uy. Since 2015, the resort has been wholly owned by the Uy family after they bought all the shares held by their Korean partner. If you notice the letter 'J' in JPark, it is a reference to Justin while Park is a reference to the former Korean partner, Park Yong Jun. Justin Uy and family is the owner of the world's largest processed fruits and dried mango manufacturer, ProFood, Inc. whose most famous brands now known globally are the Philippines and Cebu brands. They used to own JCenter Mall Mandaue as well before SM bought it early last year.
