Assalam Walikum shaykh I was hesitant to ask but now i feel like it needs to be asked, you might of heard of a TH-camr named Ali Dawah, he has a show called bitter truth show, it has sisters snd brothers on there talking about marriage.its come with criticism because it looks like free mixing on the show but ali dawah has responded by saying his "scholar' said his show is ok and there's no free mixing

As-salāmu ʿalaykum wa-raḥmatu -llāhi wa-barakātuhū.❤

By saying it's not going to change and as an Ulama not trying to change it is very unfortunate, Saudi moon sighting for Ramadhan 2024 was a blatant error and everyone knows that but has turned a blind eye. No matter how you sugar coat it, it's not going to change. The younger generation are losing faith in the Ulema, "if the Ulema can pretend it's Ramadhan and pray Taraweeh and so on, on the wrong day, what else are they pretending about" a quote from a group of youngsters who were talking.

Respectfully you can keep no hatred for others, and do not fight with others, but it is not about preference when it comes to Saudi following. It was a clear wrong to follow Saudi for the start of Ramadhan. Also each masjid can make a difference. If you know it is a wrong then lead to the correct. Do what you can and more people will see and understand than the truth. I believe this to be correct with the possibility of being wrong and your opinion to be wrong with the possibility of being right. You can still make dua for each other. By saying everyone is correct is not being correct, and is making no advancement in bringing the masses out of the clear and open wrong of following Saudi announcements.
