I drive this same bus but a 2024 and it has the L9 Cummins, thing is very zippy. Exhaust brake is a lifesaver especially in Boston traffic.

We Had 1 2006 That Was In Service Back In 2016 It Was The Oldest Bus In The Fleet It Was 2006 Bluebird All American FE Handy Bus Cat C7 With A JackKnife Door It Retired In 2020

This is the engine and the noise should listen from Euro 6-Engined Mercedes Buses made in Brazil. For a 4 cylinder Diesel, is pretty substantial in performance. And it has a wide power output: 160 to 230 bhp.

Nice catch! When i was in school all our busses were all Bluebird All Americans. The older ones sounded like this. Cool exhaust sound!
