Cisco Packet Tracer Demo Lab 1: Basic Router & Switch Configuration + DHCP Pools
This is the first video of a series that I plan on releasing demonstrating Cisco administration skills. Some of the labs that I show will be conducted in Packet Tracer and some will be conducted on physical Cisco hardware. These are intended to help anyone trying to learn Cisco administration skills or networking in general. However, these are indented to be for educational purposes only and I am not a Cisco certified instructor. Applying these skills in the real world on newer hardware can vary and there may be other steps that you should take not shown in these videos to ensure a secure network.
This video outlined the initial configuration of a Cisco ISR router and Cisco Catalyst switch from the command line. I demonstrate how to setup console and enable passwords, how to encrypt the passwords, configuration of interfaces on routers and switches, how to setup DHCP pools, and how to create VLANs.

Cisco 7962 IP Phones with CUCM 8.0
มุมมอง 1.1K5 ปีที่แล้ว
This was a quick demo of some Cisco 7962 phones running SCCP (Skinny Call Control Protocol) firmware registered with Cisco CUCM (Cisco Unified Communications Manager) 8.0. I used an auto provisioning pool with a directory number range of 2201 - 2299 to register these phones to the system. This was just a quick demo of the functionality of placing calls, holding, and transferring. Expect more vi...
Yealink SIP-T28P Touchless Provisioning with 3CX
มุมมอง 2.6K5 ปีที่แล้ว
Quick note... for whatever reason I kept saying “DDS Keys”. They are DSS Keys. Not sure how I got that wrong throughout the entire video, but I did. Please contact me if you have any other questions or if you would like to request a video on another 3CX/VoIP/data/networking question. Thanks for watching!

Hey there Zac, thanks for the good video. I've just set up a Google hosted 3CX system over the weekend, with about 6 T21P's and I have 1 T28P that I am trying to provision. The T21P's all worked great, and provisioned automatically using the provisioning link in the Yealink web portal (IP address of the device) However, no matter how much I try, I cannot get the T28P to provision. I have factory reset and updated to the latest firmware from Yealink, however no matter what I do, the phone never restarts or does any type of action after I try to provision it either using solely 3CX, the Yealink web portal (using IP address of device) etc etc. I can access the Yealink portal, so the device is correctly on the network, but just doesn't seem to want to configure. I have manually rebooted, software rebooted (via web portal) etc etc, but no matter what....it wont provision. Have tried the first 3 pages on Google, so reaching out to you in case you might be able to help Thanks Andrew

Good morning, Andrew! The SIP-T21Ps worked exactly how they should have. However, the SIP-T28Ps which are an older phone model aren’t that simple. I have tried and tried and tried to get them to pull a config and provision them with a provisioning address or by using STUN, but have had no luck. In the video, the way I demonstrated was with using a local instance of 3CX (in this case, on a raspberry pi) that was on my LAN and not on the cloud. For cloud based installations, I would just enter the IP address of the phone into my web browser to access the GUI and manually enter my SIP credentials to get it to register and configure anything else from the GUI as well. What I haven’t tried though is trying to register them to an SBC on premises that is registered the the cloud. Maybe the SBC would identify the phone on the LAN, and then the same method I used on the video would work on the cloud. I’m not entirely sure, but it might be worth a try if you have several of them to do (SBCs are always a really good thing to use when you have more than 5 phones per site and you’re using cloud based 3CX). Also, if you’d like to discuss over the phone or through email, feel free to send me an email at zcordova@getbestsecuritysystems.com and I’ll reply with my phone number or we can converse over email. Glad that you found my video and that it was hopefully partially helpful! :)
