However, I do have to remind you that you probably should only fly on the A320/A330 as it has a functioning MCDU. The 777 for example requires you to use the default FlightGear "Route Planning" Function which is not ideal especially if you want to fly in controlled airspace, unless if you have a Navigraph subscription and updated all the waypoints and airways in FlightGear.

That's just how the mod came. I think since the A320 was readily available, all the developers had to do was to make a new flight model for the A330 and use the existing A320 cockpit as the differences are small enough ( i.e the PFD and ND brightness knobs are in a different position, Gravity L/G Extension turn is not on the center pedestal). I mean it would be great if the developers could make a A330 cockpit but it would be a lot more work.

Really depends on how realistic you want your flight sim to be. You can always use the default FlightGear Route Map which does the basic stuff as long as you have accurate NAV Data. But, I wouldn't really recommend it coz there are some missing waypoints in the default route map and you'll have to enter all the waypoints manually. If ATC changes the approach, you're gonna have loads of trouble coz you'll need at least 3-4 mins to enter all appropriate waypoints

Hey, haven't been on FlightGear for the past 2 years... But from what I remember, its the tower view that "locks" onto your aircraft and you can manually adjust the position of the tower view by using some keyboard controls (Forgot what it was). Basically, you can position yourself wherever you want and it'll do this sick shot.

Switch to tower view, then click on view on the dashboard on the top left part of the screen to get a dropdown and click adjust view position.

Its a separate program called "Airline Announcements" which can be downloaded from flightsim.to as an addon. Its got quite a large database of safety videos so I'd definitely recommend it -- Adds to the level of realism

And also if you’re using the 777 or aircrafts without a dedicated FMC, make sure you are able to insert all of the waypoints in the default “route manager”

@@iamrightoutsideyourwindowhello the a320neo would be my first choice. It comes with a dedicated MCDU which is basically a must For sceneries, I would say Amsterdam (EHAM) is pretty decent. But you basically just need to type “(whatever) airport scenery flight gear” into google or something along the lines like this and try to find something off of github

The sceneries off of GitHub are usually pretty good

You need to go to the settings on the main page and click on download world scenery. This will give you the default scenery package from FlightGear itself which I promise is not good. The airports will only have a runway and are missing all the procedures. To get 3rd party sceneries you need to go to github or some other file sharing platforms to download the sceneries and put them in your scenery folder

Check out this video. You usually type in an airport's name + scenery e.g "Frankfurt EDDF Scenery Flight Gear" into any search engine like google and find a one that you like. It'll usually be zipped so you'll need to unzip it and put it in your scenery folder inside Flight Gear under "Addons"

In environment of the options menu. Set it to manual then change the wind and other conditions

There are a few possibilities, it could be a hardware problem or a timeout problem with your router. Tbh I'm not familiar with this issue because I never had it occur to me. Well.... This one is actually from the flight gear interface download page. I think its the browse tab you're talking about. Its the 737-800YV model. See if you can find this model.

After extracting from zip file, click the first folder and you’ll see a folder called A330 or something else(I forgot) 2. Copy that folder and paste it in your addons folder for flight gear. 3. If you don’t do that, the plane will not load.

It should be in the graphic settings. Maybe there's been an update since this video has been posted so there might be some minor changes to the interface. I suggest searching up render scaling for R6. Maybe it's been renamed. But if you're looking for higher fps, you might want to check out this video. 3 values were given. True landing rate was not shown as the values were from the main gear’s tilt touching down. The true landing rate was -48

ATC is from VATSIM. You need to download a client to connect to the network then you can communicate with ATC. It’s very realistic and I recommend you to be familiar with the correct terminology before connecting to the server as people on there take it very seriously
