My friend Frank and a bunch of us Fellers were grooving to Tom Tom Club and Remain In Light and he said "Why don't we call her up?" This was the 80s so there was thing called the Telephone Book. We looked up her name and called. She answered! I shit you not! Frank talked to her for a few and said how much we loved her. She said thanks and Frank hung up. She was so cool, especially that some drunken dudes called her at home at night. I mean wow.

Fun Fact: Tina didn't play the bass on version of Genius of Love you heard on the record. She wrote the line. She obviously plays it live, but her arm cramped up when it was time to record the track. She had to get an assistant sound engineer to fill in for her at the last minute.
